Topic: Splatoon 3

So if I can't re-unlock the stuff from story mode...then what's the point of me playing that mode then?

No, I mean that those items will be deleted, because they are offline. So they must be re-unlocked.

Just a quick question. When does Shiver, Frye, and Big Man announce the Splatfest in-game? If I recall correctly, they announce it a full week before the Splatfest begins, but I would like to make sure. I wanna try to start getting conch shells as early as I can.

Is it bad that I’ve never played the last two Splatoon games before this one?

@IceDomino From someone who’s almost in S+ rank you get used to it. It’s just part of the classic Splatoon experience (bad teammates, losing the lead at the last second, dying in silly ways, getting sniped by chargers 1000 feet across the map, and even more) 😵‍💫

@IceDomino No it's not. It's fine if Splatoon 3 was your first Splatoon game. Same thing with many other game series, I've played Mario Kart 64 before I played Super Mario Kart, for example.

Regardless of which Splatoon you played first, I think your first splatoon game experience will probably be the most magical experience. But Splatoon 2 single player was great! I played the heck of out it. I will still go back and play it again. Although, I think Splatoon 2 doesn't get massive discounts because Nintendo want's to encourage people to Splatoon 3.

So, yeah, if you want more Splatoon, I easily recommend Splatoon 2. Octo expansion is good, but it is a bit harder. It was designed to be played after completing the main Splatoon 2 campaign. (although, if you fail the few really hard levels enough times in Octo Expansion, the game will let you take a pass, and continue progressing the game without any negative consequences.) Although, if you already played through Splatoon 3 single player, you're probably ok to play octo.

I hope it’s not, because 3 is my first Splatoon game, unless you count that one round at a friend’s house where I was the definition of a noob who thinks he is a pro. I would not listen to his advice and insisted on playing Roller. But I only rolled. And I stared at the floor. And I didn’t leave the base. And I still managed to die 6 times. I am still embarrassed 6 years later!

Currently my locker's empty, I don't know what to decorate it with.

So I played a few rounds and I will say the servers are faster BUT i got disconnected on my 1st round (not bc of internet) and then banned for 10 minutes like ???

Yes, recently the system seems to have a 0 tolerance for comm errors... Not every time, but especially if it's intentional!

I had a similar instance in Splatoon 2. Where if I recall correctly, I got disconnected somehow, and then the game gave me a warning saying that I could get a temporary ban. I didn't do anything wrong, by the way. I never close the game during an online match, I just play normally like everyone else. So that might have been a glitch. That's never happened to me in Splatoon 3, thankfully. I just got back from playing and I had a communication error during one of my matches (my internet was likely being bad), but no warnings or bans.

Getting frustrated.

Can't beat this level in the campaign. Second area, the one on rails shooting cube targets to keep the rails going. Get to this glob of cubes with a red one in the middle and just can't destroy them all in time to save my life. Got down to final red cube and one more hit would have destroyed it, but ran off the rail because I was out of ink.

Gosh dang this is hard for being such an early game level.
