Topic: Splatoon 3

@vio Never had any interest. Give me good old Turf War, where I have nothing to lose and lots of gold so I can buy every clothing and decoration.

My personal gameplay usually consists of one Turf War for Warmup, then Anarchy Battles in Open, and if I am feeling good, Series. My “de-stressor” is SR. After I gave up on becoming EVP4, I found that mode got a lot more chill and enjoyable so that I don’t rage every time we fail Wave 1. I do still have some anger issues in Anarchy though…!

I used to primarily play Turf War until I started taking Anarchy seriously since Turf gets really boring and it’s only fun to play during Splatfests (which gets tiring too). Now that I’m in S rank and on the road to X I can’t see myself ever going back to Turf

For me I primarily do x battles but if I am tired or it is currently a bad rotation I’ll do anarchy open.
Its a sign of a good game when there is so much to do people play and develop their routines in their own unique way.

I mostly play either Turf War or Salmon Run. I did play some Anarchy Battles though, I should play those more often. And on a side note, I've finished the story mode last year.

Probably not going to play the next Splatfest since I don't really like the theme for it. Plus, it comes out the same weekend as Mario vs DK so I'll be a bit occupied with that

My "anarchy" grade has been the same since the game's launch.

Turf War is just boring to me. I like that Anarchy(or Ranked as it is in the other 2 games) is more competitive and there's more to do ie. carrying the Rain Maker, riding the Tower, etc. It is pretty ridiculous that Splatoon 3 is still stuck with the same 4 modes that were already Splatoon 2 though. They should have added a couple more modes by now.

...so what does it do?

I play x battles or anarchy based on which rotation is better, when I'm tired (or on a losing streak), I play turf. I feel like everyone has had an "only turf war" phase right before a "no turf war at all" phase, but this game is the most fun (to me) when you play a mix of the modes. I mostly play SR when all the rotations are bad (which is sadly quite common).

@IceDomino The rain maker is a gun, and yeah, it looks like a golden fish. It shoots a charged laser that makes an explsosion when the shot lands on the ground. The blast radius is like a 10 foot radius. That rain maker gun is exclusive to the rain maker battle mode. Although, it occassionally is used somewhere in the single player campaign.

Rain maker mode take place on a turf war map & the objective of the mode is to get posession of the rain maker gun (spawns at center of map), carry it to the pedestal in then enemy's end zone. If you get shot while holding the rain maker, you lose posession of it.

So unfortunately, deleting the data didn't get rid of the multiplayer data, meaning I can't re-buy all the clothes (and take pictures of them this time).

Ah well. At least the story mode can be restarted, and this time I'll take pictures of my progress.

@vio I just turn my brain off whenever I have to play turf (esp during splatfests)

I'm too scared to play Anarchy.

@Croctopus I still have all the banners, badges, titles, clothes, weapons. I guess I COULD be happy, but I no longer have screenshots of the Splatfests when I explored Splatsville during the October 2023 and January 2024 events. You know, when they decorated the place differently than the standard Splatfest?

Well, I believe that only offline data is stored on your system. So if it cannot be unlocked offline, it won't be deleted. IE, gear (outside of hero gear replica) weapons (outside of hero shot replica and jr.), badges (outside of DJ Octavio, etc.) banners (you see where I am going with this?) stay even if you delete on-system data.
