Topic: Splatoon 3

(Know this is late but I've been busy recently. Ho-hum).

Unlike most people I was really underwhelmed by the Direct. I kept waiting for something jaw-dropping to happen but it never came. There were no new modes and (some of) the existing ones felt without new ideas. The story mode felt copy and paste (except for the lore), there was no new modes for ranked battle (table turf doesn't really cut it for me) and the game itself feels too reliant on post-launch updates (this isn't a mario sports game).

As a guy who has the second game as one of his most played games, I'm just not feeling it. It's gone from sure-fire buy to "wait for a sale", which I have never, ever done before. I CAN understand why most people are hyped for it (tricolor, convenience updates) and they do prompt an eventual purchase but I'm just disillusioned about the fall in appeal to me.

A little heads up.
You have to select your region when starting the Testfire. That will determine in what time slot you can play the game. Don't accidentally choose the wrong region you can't change it afterwards!

@Budda Has it already unlocked? I knew it unlocked early for stuff like the tutorial and picking your Splatfest team but I didn't think it'd be today? Thanks for the heads up though, definitely don't want to make that kind of mistake myself that's for sure XD

So, how many fools in here have been tried to boot up the demo early hoping Nintendo screwed up and made the tutorial available before the 25th? 😁😁😆👍 You can count me as one of those fools.

Don't anyone get too excited yet. Nobody in here has verified the demo being live where they are - UK & North America. We might be waiting until midnight in the US.

I live in the US and the demo isn't live for me yet.

@Budda Edit: So, it was roughly 5pm your local time (Germany) when you were able to boot up the demo with your regular account. Noted. We'll see what happens for north america/US

@Budda If you're in Germany, that probably means it's live in Ireland as well due to them sharing the same time zone (well, for the demo at least). Going to go check it again and I'll see what happens!

Watching NintendoLife's recent hands-on videos of Splatoon 3, man the music sounds great in the single player. The music and new sound design of new weapons and foes in salmon run is great!<333 It's intoxicating.

I can see @Fizza still hasn't been able to boot up Splatoon 3 demo in spite of being 11:30pm-ish over there. It's 6:30pm here, and the demo still isn't live. I bet it will be midnight or later in the US.
