Messing around, racing across the room with grizzco dualies dodge roll explosions, because why not. They also paint a good swath as you go. Not bad.

I had it on my news feed just normaly. In fact, I get a bunch of japanese news there. My region is not Japanese though. Weird.

@Fizza I was psyched to join up in Salmon Run, but I feel like everywhere I go in Salmon Run, I'm cursed. As you saw in our job, so many enemies were going unchecked, to the point where tenta missles & drizzler rain made movement effectively impossible, and we couldn't even get past wave 1. Sigh. I left because I think I'm cursed, or my skill suffers, and I didn't want to rob you of your EVP rank. I'm in Pro 3 and just had a losing streak of 10 jobs in a row. Out of the last 14 jobs, I only completed 3 waves once. It's insanity.

I've been stuck in high Pro 3 limbo since last night. My salmonid meter was full, I was at pro 3 80 and that loss streak was so bad, I never got a king salmonid. It's so pointless to play without demoting myself.

@Budda Yeah, we haven't gotten the Splatoon news article here in north america. I bet the the job of updating splatoon news for north america is sitting on someone's desk. And now it's the weekend, so probably nobody will get to it until tuesday (monday is holiday here - Labor Day). I even bet people took off work early on friday to get a head start on the holiday weekend. XD I changed my account to japan to get that article. Otherwise, the most recent splatoon news article here is "pick your team" for the last splatfest, it's dated August 7.

If you get japanese language news articles, then I think you have a second account on your switch set for japan (logically). But maybe there's something else going on. I recall when I set my second account to UK, I ended up getting duplicate articles, US articles for account 1, and UK/EU articles for account 2. Currently, both my switch user accounts are set for north america now. So, I don't get any duplicate articles.

Been having a pretty decent Big Run so far myself; had a couple of poor rounds here and there (and very nearly lost my Eggsecutive position) but managed to pull it back and nab an insane amount of Scales for my Cohozuna fight (10 Bronze, 4 Silver and 2 Gold). I'm currently a bit too tired to continue forward for today (been at work since 10AM and only got back at 5PM) but I'm going to be giving these Salmonids hell and back tomorrow! 😤

@WoomyNNYes No need to apologise whatsoever! If anything, I should be the one groveling given how I was stuck with Hydra for that entire round (possibly my worst weapon in the entire game) so I was pretty much dead weight XD (cheers for inviting me to join though!)

@Fizza Don't sweat it. We definitely had a harder loadout of weapons.
I had tetra dualies, which are fine. The other two teammates had a brush and nautalis. I bet one or both weren't good with them. Granted, the brush deals little damage, very little range.

EDIT: As an update, my highest egg count for big run sits at 108. I probably won't beath this since I can't get a well rounded team and get out out of pro 3. It's my worst egg count for the the big run events. I'm probably going to get a bronze reward, "HUUGHHHHH!!!" (throw up sound). At least I got silvers big run badges from before.

I had just over 1,000,000 coins. Since it's a new season, and I've seen a couple players with a very cool new banner, I decided to spend money on the shellout machine. I ended up spending about 550,000 on shellout capsules trying to get that new banner. I did get one new season banner, but it's lame. Boooo.

Shellout machine emotes:
Surprisingly, I got two emotes from shellout machine today! (when I spent 550,000, and both were emotes I didn't have from spring season. They're probably the only two emotes I didn't have! I'm shocked I didn't get duplicates. In the past, I've gotten 3 emotes from shellout machine, but it always gave me money because they were emotes I already had. So, I can't help wonder if an update is purposely giving me the emotes I was missing, rather than giving me duplicates? If that's what happened, that could give hope to anyone trying to get new emotes from shellout.

@WoomyNNYes how the heck did you end up with so much any coins? Do you just not spend any? I honestly just can’t help myself not too!

@Snatcher I always sat around 200,000 - 300,000, and that always felt too easy to spend. So, I stopped spending it on full price capsules. Yeah, now that I have the gear I want with abilities I want, and plenty of ability chunks from salmon run, I don't need to be spending it. Plus, I accumulated 65 food tickets for 2X Battle Cash, and I've been using those for the past month - I was grinding the last weeks of the season to go from level 65-100, which also has that 1.2x multiplier buff on top of all that. (maybe also throw in the fact that I got so tired of driving an hour to ride a skatepark/pumptrack, that I haven't been riding my bike much in the past month = not much of a life).

I want this new banner! I'm assuming the banner is awarded randomly via the catalog or shellout machine.

No way! What the heck? Did that person really just use squid surge jump to dodge my suction bomb? Or is this a lag issue? EDIT: Oh, now I see what happned. They swam past it before it exploded. I had to watch full screen in slow motion on youtube to figure it out. I'll leave this up though. (I still can't believe there's no slow motion option for watching our switch video clips on the console)

@Snatcher I got a lot of cash from the BR and spent most of it on the Shell-Out machine since I’m trying to roll for new titles… think I may have a gambling addiction in this game

I’ve gotten emotes from the shell-out since I couldn’t finish the first and second season’s catalog. But lately I’ve been getting lots of titles. I’m wondering if they’re also tied to the catalog rewards I didn’t get as well.

In Big Run/SR Dread Wringer is surprisingly good against Steelheads! Takes only 2 sloshes (or 1 1/2 technically) and it takes them out quick. Grizzco Dualies…those could use a range buff. I don’t like shooting anything unless I got the higher ground, otherwise I’m rolling for a better position or grouping lessers together.

Talking about money. I always stay in the range of 1.5 to 2 million. Just in case I have a chance of getting a gold capsule for the season. I always check my Shell-Out Machine seed on the Seed Checker website every season. Sadly the Splatfest seed says I get it on my 1900th capsule. So I have to get it from the regular Shell-Out Machine seed. So wish me luck. 🤞
(Everything you get from the Shell-Out Machine is predetermined every new season. Normal and Splatfest have each different predetermined capsules you get.)

@WoomyNNYes Wow, what the heck! I play for like two hours and it feels like I have gotten nothing done lol! I know you said you were grinding and what not and the tickets! But man, I guess daily play is the way to go.
