Topic: Splatoon 3

Salmon Run store is updated with new slopsuits and stuff. Three new suits. All cost 150 silver scales. Oof. Guess ill never afford one of those.

I unfortunately started off the new season with a bad losing streak last night, but I managed to win a few games which made me feel better. I practiced with some of the weapons and the Heavy Edit is fun but I’m terrible with using Splatlings so my aim in ranked wasn’t very good. I still need to use the others but the new bloblobber was fun to use when I tested it. Only got to play on Crableg last night but it was so cool! It feels a lot more varied than most of the other maps, not to mention I love the scenery of it. I do wish there was more new gear though, I really want the Captain’s Hat from the Grizzco awards but there’s absolutely no way I’ll be able to get all of those gold scales lol. I’ll be playing BR in a bit, hoping it’s fun this time around!

@WoomyNNYes I checked and September's gear is the Retro Future Helmet. Definitely getting the impression that Nintendo had planned Side Order for the current season but it needed extra time so was delayed.

Does anyone know how to get ahold of the new Deep Cut banners? I was under the impression they would be distributed via the News Channel but I am already seeing them on other player’s Splashtags, and I haven’t gotten a News report for them..?

That’s so true-yesterday I ran into bagel from starburst (it was legit because he had the golden x rank badge) and let’s just say that… um…we lost quite badly 😂

Tip for the new Grozzco Dualies! If you clomb on top of a Fish Stick then dodge roll off, the explosion will destroy the Stick! So satisfying!

@Wolfleaf I have been saving scales but they are few and far between down here in Pro + 3! The Cap of Ledgend is such a cool item, hopefully I can unlock it eventually!

I have to say, the Grizzco Dualies are probably the most useless Grizzco weapon. Even the Grizzco Tri-Stringer is more useful. Oh well..

Has anyone found a good pool for Pro3+? Last night I tried a couple pools and couldn't find players to join. Tried "scrapper" (VicVillon's pool) and "hazco" (hazmy's pool). Maybe I'll try "scrapper" again today.

This is great that scales get a 2X buff!!

@CaleBoi25 Actually, users don't get pinged if you add their tags in an edit. As a result, sometimes I've copy & pasted a post so I can add user tags to ping the users. Then deleted the first post to avoid duplicate posts.

What team is everyone choosing for the splat fest? Big man ftw!!!!
Also, does anyone have any tips for big run- I have not played so far as I don’t want to be that guy in the lobby not knowing what to do 🤣

@Budda You find them useless?!? I found them incredibly overpowered. You can destroy mobs of lesser salmonoids by just dodge rolling like crazy. They're not great at fighting most boss salmonoids, but their incredible painting more than makes up for that (in my opinion).

More than often did I die from using that dodge roll from lessers. You can do the same with a Grizzco Slosher and it is stupidly good at killing Bosses at the same time. The dodge roll is pretty much as ink hungry as the Slosher.
What it needs is more damage and range for normal firing. Imagine having a complete team of only Dualies. Try to kill Steelheads with it. Or get rid of the mothership. I was barely able to hit them. And with the low damage it has it took ages to kill them, compared to any other Grizzco Weapon.

(changed my region to japan to get those three deep cut banners. they're fine? Other than using them now while they're new, I'll probably never use them again.)

(If anyone has never changed regions before, I'm not getting into it. Short story = you lose any unspent money on eshop.)

@CaleBoi25 I heard you can get them through the Japanese newsfeed which I have but I’ll have to check later to see if I can get them. Maybe they’ll distribute them for other regions soon? If not I’m just happy with my Squid Sisters banner

Side note. Grizzco Dualies dodge roll explosion deals 125 damage - I checked in the practice room after a job.

Messing around, racing across the room with grizzco dualies dodge roll explosions, because why not. They also paint a good swath as you go. Not bad.
