@MarioLover92 Kind of seems dumb that splatoon 3 doesn't have a designated place, like in the lobby, to display splatposts of your friends'. There could easily be a wall in the lobby where posts of your friends are displayed as graffiti.
Did you make your post via twitter? If it's something you want to show, you could share a link. Although, I'd understand if you don't want to link one of your twitter posts in here for privacy reasons.
@Jhena Yeah, you can pick your team and use your splatfest shirt for the week before splatfest. The advantage is, the spatfest Tshirt is really cheap to scrub for it's chunks, costing $2000, rather than the normal price of $20,000. The other advantage after you pick your team early is, you can earn conch shells playing matches during the week before splatfest. You can exchange conch shells for capsules at the shellout machine in the lobby. So, it's like free extra capsules. But you have to use your conch shells for capsules before splatfest is over, because you will lose any unspent conch shells.
I think you earn 1 conch shell every time you level up your catalog.
Just made it to Love Ruler. I've been getting an absurd amount of mirror matches this Splatfest... and Money has beaten my team quite a few times. (I wonder how much mirror matches Money has gotten?) I don't think a lot of people picked Fame, I was only matched up with them a few times as of now. So, Money's more of a threat for me. This might be rough. Didn't help that I got disconnected a couple times, either, but at least it wasn't a frequent occurrence in my session.

Only just started the Splatfest myself (being jet-lagged from a flight to Spain will do that to you XD) but I've already managed to not only make it to Defender, but also win two 10X's in a row (Glooga Dualies my beloved) so I'm having a pretty great time so far. Can't wait to continue on later and try to bring Fame the win because god: it'd be so funny if Frye finally managed to win with all the odds stacked against her.
also Splatnet seems to be bugged right now cause it appears to not be able to fathom someone actually going with Fame for this fest XD
@MarioLover92 Picking the unpopular team must have it's perks because I haven't had a single mirror match so far myself. I wonder if this is what it felt like to be on Team Sour/Bigfoot all those months ago XD

@Fizza Oh I agree for sure. I actually picked the least popular team on a couple previous Splatfests. In the Zelda Splatfest, I picked Courage, and I only had one mirror match. In the ice cream Splatfest, I picked Strawberry, and there wasn't a single mirror match. Though, I always pick teams based on what I like the most, or whatever fits my personality the best.

At past Splatfests (Splatoon 2), I always picked the least popular team, because the probability of winning the Splatfast was higher. But for Splat3, I pick whatever I like the most.
@MarioLover92@Budda I personally always go with the team I like the most rather than the one I think will win since, in my opinion, Splatfests are always about expressing your individuality through the choices you make and, given how most of them only happen once in the game's life (with some exceptions like the one we're currently playing), I like to make the most of the opportunity

Man do people really do that? Like what fun is it just joining a team just because you think they will win?

@Fizza Exactly, that's the whole point of Splatfests. Picking the team that you like the best, and going at it regardless of the outcome. Plus it's way more satisfying to win a whole Splatfest that way. It's why I was happy to see that Sweet won that taste sensation Splatfest back in January. It happened to be on the same month as my birthday, as well!
Edit: I should also mention that I brought home a 10x win for Love! <3
@Snatcher
I did it in Splatoon 2 because you get a little more Sea Snails. There, you had to use them to upgrade your gear. You couldn't do it with money, like in Splatoon 3.
Though I chose the team I liked the most occasionally, when there was a really good theme.
Almost completely forgot about Splatfest today. First time I've jumped on since the last one but picking up where I left off so far.
Not sure how I feel about Eeltail for Tricolour so far. It's an interesting map but feels kinda hard to defend the middle with a short range weapon like Inkbrush.
Also would be nice if the other attackers would stop backstabbing me when I'm trying to help them in these Money vs Money games. I usually let the first one slide but do it a second time and my objective for the match changes very quickly, haha.
I just noticed a funny localisation error.
On Tri-Colour matches, when someone dc's and the draw result screen appears, instead of the German "Gleichauf...", on some teams there's "Draw" written instead.
First I thought that was on purpose, but there's no indication of why. So it must be a mistake. 😅
@Budda Oh wait the winning team actual gets something? I just thought it was for fun lol.
They are fun, but Splatfests are also the only way to get Super Sea Snails. Every one will be awarded a number of super sea snails depending on which Splatfest rank they reached. Winning team wins a few more. You can see breakdown here if you scroll down to the Splatoon 3 section of this page: https://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Super_Sea_Snail
In case anyone is new & doesn't know, super sea snails allow you to:
Add free slots to your gear/boost star power.
Reroll your ability slots. It's easy to waste sea snails here, so be careful, since you can blow through sea snails trying to get a loadout with an ability you want.
(**If you cant participate in the splatfest, you can still get 2 or 3 super sea snails just for picking your splatfest team. )

@Snatcher Adding onto this, the only leg-up the winning team gets is about 2-3 extra Sea Snails and bragging rights (in short: you may as well just pick the team you like the most since the difference between winning and losing is quite small in the grand scheme of things).

I'm having fun with Drop Roller ability shoes. I'm finally trying it out.😆
I got destroyed by a team. So, I had to watch the replay to see how good they were or to find out of my teammates were just weak.😆 And I used the NSO Splatnet 3 app to see what gear and abilities they were using. Three of the four on the other team were all wearing shoes with Drop Roller ability. I totally forgot that we can drop roll with any weapon after a super jump in Splatoon 3.
Sometimes it's interesting to watch a replay, if you get totally destroyed, to see how the other team was playing. Although, sometimes you just know your teammates are newbs and you don't need a replay to find out.😆
