@JaxonH True, but Splatoon 2 has sold something like three times as many copies as the original, and there are bound to be some people who don't upgrade to Splatoon 3 right away. Plus there will probably be some stages and weapons that don't carry over to 3 (at least at launch), so that will give people a reason to return to 2 sometimes. I think it will be years before it becomes difficult to find a game in Splatoon 2.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
I also just went back to Splatoon 2, (I say went back but I didn't play too much to begin with) it's really fun, I'm only lvl 12 but I'm loooving the brella gun, I can consistently get like 7 kills a match with it (which is good for me) it's very nice to see a level 12 get more kills and overall points then a level 60 at the end though, I feel balancing is something this game usually does fairly well.
I have yet to get the dlc (Can I ask what the appeal is?) but I'm on the second map of story mode having fun so far, it's not as good as normal mode though, feels very similar to Splatoon 1 story mode
Games I'm playing right now:
OoT N64
DK64 N64
Lego LotR Wii
Spirit Tracks DS
TotK Switch
@FroZtedFlakerZz The DLC has a super enjoyable campaign mode; definitely one of the better campaigns I've played. And along with that, you get a lot of new gear, some new weapons, and a playable Octoling. If you're just interested in the online mode, it might not totally be worth it, but if you're into single-player campaigns and enjoy the base campaign, I would recommend checking it out.

@StarPoint I had no idea you unlocked an octoling, that's actually really cool, thinking back on it now I did see people with octopus logos on the top rather than squids and was slightly confused. I'm enjoying the base campaign so far and heard the end game is even better but would you say the dlc campaign is a s good as the main one?

@FroZtedFlakerZz The DLC campaign is way superior to the base campaign I'd say. The base campaign is great but is arguably a little "safe" in my opinion. The Octo Expansion campaign is extremely unique and offers varied challenges apart from the standard affairs of getting from point A to point B. The way you progress through its story is also very fun, being that you can play levels in any order you want.
It's a pretty different experience from the base campaign, but overall, I enjoyed it a lot more. For $20, I think what you get is a great deal.

@StarPoint In that case, I'm enjoying the game enough that I might just pick it up after I finish up the main campaign, thanks for letting me know what it is

Custom Dualie Squelchers for me. I don't usually use Dualies and I don't even like Squelchers but the combination of the two just works really well for me. I think it's probably the combination of a killing sub (Splat Bomb), an annoying special (Ink Storm) and the insane range and mobility that combining the two weapons provide that pushes it over the edge. I'm excited to see what kit they give it if it comes back in 3 (which it probably will since it's very well-liked), my hope is that it keeps Splat Bomb but gains Tri-Inkstrike instead of Ink Storm, that would be amazing.
My other favourites include Aerospray MG, vanilla Blaster and Sploosh-o-Matic 7 just to name a few. There are a few ones that I feel are incredible in specific modes however, such as Kensa Dualies in Splat Zones and Kensa Splattershot in Rainmaker (that weapon is NASTY against the opposing team if they have the Rainmaker, just sit back and build up Tenta Missiles and watch them fly).
There's so many great weapons and all play so differently. It amazes me how everyone has a different preference of weapon but makes it work for them.
I have a lot of respect for the ppl who are top shelf with brushes, brella, blasters, chargers, etc. I'm not good with those.
I like the Heavy Splatling Gun though, but I need a setup with lots of run speed, ink saver main and ink resistance before I main that again (I had a setup for it in my lost save data).
I also like Splattershot Pro but for that, I need a setup with Ink Saver Main and Ink Recovery.
For now, Kensa Splattershot is a good all rounder. It can be offensive, but it still lays down decent paint with reasonable efficiency.
As I play more I want to accrue more builds for different weapons. But Splatoon 3 will likely be out by then anyways.
Here's the setup though. Was finally able to screencap it.
