Hey all ! I’m really excited about the sonic origins plus game coming out physically. I really like the Japanese version of the game , it also comes with this really cool extra which is an LP shaped rubber coaster ! My only conundrum is that I’m not sure if this game will be playable in English? Does anyone know , I can’t seem to find any information anywhere on this ! Thank you 🙏

I have no idea whether multi-region Switch download codes are a thing, but it's likely that any DLC codes will require a Japanese NNID. If it comes to that, then you can create a Japanese account and link that to a new profile on your Switch console (as your console will be considered the primary console for this account, you can continue using your UK-based profile to play the game and utilise the DLC). Or you can opt to ignore the DLC entirely.
But where there is a local physical release of a game available, I would strongly recommend that you pick that up instead, if only to avoid these sorts of cumbersome situations.
That’s amazing I did wonder about the DLC so I probably won’t bother . Dont think it’s really worth that hassle for a bit of plastic ! Thanks for the really useful info !
Any games you want to get in from the Japanese eshop or physical Japanese cartridges. Just go into the Japanese eshop & you can change the keyboard so you write in English but it will show Japanese wording for whatever game your looking for then use your phone with Google translate app & have it translate from Japanese to English & you'll be able to see when you look up certain games under the description for each game it will show which languages each game supports~ 👍✌️
