Erm I know everyone is on about new games, but where is Super Smash for the Switch?
This is mainly because the Amiibo of Cloud was delayed until this came out and i need this.
But there was nothing about this in the presentation in January.
Anyone else confused by this?
I hope it's not true for 2 reasons: 1) it would kill ARMS, 2) based on first, i would not pick ARMS anymore fearing really low userbase (but this is a minor one). I may even cancel my pre-order waiting to see E3 if they really announce it

ya this would crush ARMs, I am not a Melee or Smash fan I actually don't get the hype at all but I am a big FGC fan and viewer so I do know how huge the Smash and Melee fan bases are, even casuals would pick Smash over ARMs
I would believe it if Smash Bros was not already on the 3DS. No need to have the same game on 2 different portable devices. I would expect to see a new Smash Bros game in 2019 or Holiday 2018.
@OdnetninAges Heh, after giving it some thought and recent events, I have to agree. Arms has gotten plenty of screen time (Direct), playtime, (testpunch). and a release date that's pretty dang close, (June 14.). All of these factors won't have Smash bros steal ARMS's thunder if it was announced.
Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.
@OdnetninAges Yah, I agree with the both of you. Arms looks more like a 3d arena based game while smash bros is a 3d side scrolling fighter. I think if you released the likes of Pokken Tournament or Dragon Ball Xenoverse via the Switch around the sametime as Arms, they would probably steal it's thunder more because they are all more similar compared to Smash.
Bestbuy accidentally leaked Smash Bros, and a new Pikmin game for the Switch called Pikmin World. Someone data mined the placeholder covers for their E3 preorder events. It doesnt say if it is a remake, but there is going to be an announcement at E3 100%.
@KirbyTheVampire They are brand new placeholders, and if you look on their website they have 3 brand new games to reveal for preorder, as they are revealed, just like last year.
My local store had a placeholder for a Super Mario Universe game for Wii U for 4 years. That a store puts up a placeholder doesn't mean that the game is coming - it is merely an educated guess to get more preorders if it's true.
Curious about placeholders because I've only heard of them when a game is announced but no release date so they create a placeholder to keep people reminded it's coming
Why are placeholders uses so hidden you have to manipulate the URL to find them?
