Just went on a mythical catching spree there. Yoinked Darkrai and Shaymin for the second time (grumble grumble) and just got Phione and Manaphy's quest done there as well. Aiming to take on the Lake Trio next so wish me luck cause after dealing with Heatran and co, I'm gonna need it.

@Pizzamorg
I watched Legends Arceus battle gameplay from Youtube just now and I found the similarity with Ni no Kuni 1 battle style and Yokai Watch 4 battle style. Not a bad thing from my opinion.
@Pizzamorg As someone who beat the fight, I can say it was absolutely nothing like that in the slightest. You certainly don’t need to do it with specific moves, and you can use legit any strategy.
Thank you everyone, I thought I was going crazy over here, I was just disagreeing with the dude, and they played the victim card every time, plus they were being so rude for no good reason, thank you all for showing me I’m not crazy lol.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

@Ralizah Yeah, it definitely feels like this sometimes. Like they’re saying their opinion is more valid than anyone else’s, saying it’s “subjective”, but acting the opposite.

Yeah, you may like it. Seems plenty do. If you do enjoy it, I implore you to try out Monster Hunter Rise, it is like a way better version of the Noble fights.

When did I say that? Or are you referring to the one terrible argument I criticised and are assuming my stance to all is the same? Well I can tell you that is a poor judge of my character.
@Pizzamorg As someone who beat the fight, I can say it was absolutely nothing like that in the slightest. You certainly don’t need to do it with specific moves, and you can use legit any strategy.
I thought you said levelling up doesn't make a difference? So I can just power level and use my own team? If so, then good, what level do you recommend? (this was my original question).
@Pizzamorg I was around level 60 and hardly beat him, so I assume leveling only makes the fight barely easier. Also, I fixed the post I made because I was half asleep when I made it.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
Yeah it is kinda like pulling teeth in here at times. I may not feel as strongly as you do perhaps on this, but I certainly do agree with most of what you have said/see where you are coming from. So it is exhausting to be constantly told we're not correct because of x reason, that is usually entirely untrue or just general opinion no more valid than anything we have shared.
And yeah in regards to the review thing, you do tend to find Nintendo brands seem to get an extra bonus point or two seemingly for brand alone. Like BOTW for example is a enjoyable game, but if it wasn't a Zelda game released by Nintendo, I think people wouldn't be making all of the objectively false and truly hyperbolic statements they make around that game, for example.
And it is frustrating, because they treat you like some "hater" when you try and argue like "Hey I liked X thing, but this wasn't so great and..." and then it's just a chorus of "no, this is the greatest game ever made end of."
I haven't seen anyone in here say it's the greatest game ever made, or even insinuate as much. They're just disagreeing with the criticisms levied at it for one reason or another
All I'm getting from your post is: "It's exhausting when people disagree with my criticisms of the game." Then you lean into the tired "Nintendo games are overrated by their base" argument (which may or may not be true, but it's common sense to expect that fans of one of the big three would like that company's games more, and it shuts down conversation entirely by attacking the people you're talking to instead of actually sticking to the substance of the discussion). In general, if you can make an argument, change the name of the game or developer, and it's still coherent, then it's not a good argument.
It is exhausting when I give a detailed, valid, criticism of a game and then be given a one sentence "nah that is not true because of the opinion I have on x". And then when I point out that all they've done is give me a one sentence, entirely subjective, response, I get them same "why are you attacking me" response back. Like if you had nothing meaningful to say, then cry when I respond back to you, why even respond to me at all? Just so you can say the popular opinion in the thread and have a dozen people come to your side and tell you they agree with you. Grim.
@Pizzamorg I think you're bringing this upon yourself, to be honest.
It's perfectly normal to have discussions in forums where people express their opinions and share why they liked/disliked features of certain games. People can discuss with each other their points of view and we move on. I think the reason why people have been so adamant to defend their own opinions from what you post is because you add in little digs to attack the people that have a different opinion than you. Instead of just saying "I personally disliked this feature", you say things like "This feature is bad and anyone who likes it is just making up excuses."
In general when discussing your point of view on a game, whether positive or negative, it's better not to attack the other side.
If someone actually puts forwards a genuinely compelling argument for their stance, then I'll happily engage in it. But I'm thus far left wanting.
Just because you write extensive comments doesn't mean that you are doing a better argument, people are able to express their points in brief comments. On top of that, you are often disrespectful when addressing others. It bafles me that you think that your excuses of not being disrespectful to the person and instead disrespecting their arguments is somehow better. It's still insulting someone's intelligence, so you are still insulting the person.
Also, it really isn't that hard to understand on why a "detailed" long comment on something as subjetive as disliking or liking something doesn't change that it's still subjective. It seems more like you can't handle not having the reason despite of trying to act open to discussing and disagreement.
You aren't saying that your opinion is objective, you are implying it. Your arguments, according to you are" detailed, valid criticism of a game." Many of the posts that I have seen you disregard as nonsense, wrong or whatever aren't "one sentence of something subjective" as you claim.

The responses are entirely subjective.
That's how you're characterizing your interactions (aside from the one issue, where you characterized disagreement as "indefensible"), and I'm telling you there's nowhere to go but down with that sort of attitude

Okay, since you won't do it, I'll put you on my ignore list (and report you). You don't add anything to this thread other than to occasionally pop in and give me a performance review. I honestly don't know what your purpose is and since you are utterly meaningless, I will just put you on my ignore list to remove your filler inputs.
@Pizzamorg I was around level 60 and hardly beat him, so I assume leveling only makes the fight barely easier. Also, I fixed the post I made because I was half asleep when I made it.
Also, fair enough. I think my Pokemon are a mix of 60s and early 70s, so might try and get them into the 80s and see if it becomes any easier. I'll have to farm the battles in the village I suppose.

You removed the context. I was pointing out, as per the original discussion, people do not say 'I disagree because...' they say 'You are wrong because...' or other patronising responses like 'well maybe you should just...'. In ways that seems to suggest that their opinion somehow invalidates mine, despite being just as subjective.
@Pizzamorg Oh, the irony. Go ahead. You'll end up putting everyone on an ignore list eventually.
Anyway, returning to the topic. Are the optional quests that you get from having other games worth it? Maybe I'll try to borrow a copy of Diamond and Pearl if that's the case when I finally get the game.
