So it's been about 6 years since we got a PVZ game in a Nintendo platform. What do you think the odds are of the Switch getting a port/sequel of any of the games?

Slim to none...at this point I don't really care anymore anyways, EA pretty much ruined the series. The "sequel" on iOS is laughable with all those micro-transactions and pay to win crap, and Garden Warfare 2 is just...boring...and broken...(the first one was awesome, but the online is basically dead at this point)

@TheTetrisGuy Doubt it. It's EA and Plants V.S. Zombies hasn't been great in a long time..

@Bezbot Which ones were not good? I thought GW2 and Heros were pretty well received.

I think it may depend on how FIFA does. If it sold well enough, I would see it within a year or so.

I totally love the PvZ games, so yeah, I too would like to see them on the Switch.

PvZ2 is indeed filled with WAAAAAAAY-overpriced microtransactions, but you never, ever have to pay for them, or need them to play the game. Most of the plants can be unlocked, purchased and upgraded without spending a physical penny - in-game currency is earned through play. The other thing PvZ2 has going for it is that It's constantly updated and is forever fresh - there are always new challenges. I've played every single day since it first came out in 2013 (wow! - that surprised me!) and it's still a fun blast. I miss the mini-games from PvZ1, but there is much more gaming on offer in PvZ2.

Nintendo don't allow the use of microtransactions on their systems - DLC is acceptable, but not microtransactions. EA could easily make DLC bundles of plants and still sell the game (rather than it be free to play)

Garden Warfare 3 could may be an option in the future too...

I really do think that EA could earn a lot of money and kudos by releasing all/many of the PopCap back catalogue on Switch - Bejeweled, Peggle, PvZ, Zuma etc. etc (there are LOADS!!) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PopCap_games

So, yeah, I'd certainly pay money for some of those titles and even the DLC if it meant having more quality gaming on the go, or just to kill a quick five minutes.
