Is it just me or is the sound in some of the games really crunchy? Or maybe that’s just how they were made?
I think it's an emulation bug when that happens. The sound went crunchy and distorted on Pac-Man for me but when I paused it and unpaused it went back to normal.
@Clyde_Radcliffe I assume that just like how they didn't offer the option to preorder or predownload, they also did not provide any review copies
Ah okay, that makes sense. To be honest, the whole project feels a little rushed somehow. It doesn't make sense that there's no option to remove the border art and I don't understand why only Pac-In-Time gives you control options OR why they used the Japanese rom for it? It came out in the US but they use Japanese version with subtitles. Were they literally too lazy to change it for the worldwide release? There are also no save states and screen sizes are limited (no stretch function)
I'm still enjoying it loads as all these games are new to me bar the original but it does feel a little like they spent so long on the arcade designing stuff they forgot about the emulation basics... I really hope they do patch these things.
Wow! I would've switched the prices around from 19.99 this game to the 29.99 Namco Museum because with Namco museum only serving a bunch of arcade games (plus Pac Vs.) compared to a Pac Museum serving a bunch of pac man arcade games with 256, championship, pac in time, moto and roll and a few other bonus games along with a customizable hub world, this feels like a steal.
Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.
Nintendo Life user @KayFiOS just posted this awesome tip in the Pac-Man Museum+ review comments, for those of you who want to try and complete the games and get some of the harder achievements:
"A little tip for anyone dumb enou—err, I mean... brave enough to go for accomplishments: certain games let you save your progress when you choose to exit to the arcade. The game will auto save when you do this, and when you start up the same arcade cabinet, the game won't auto save again until you exit to the arcade again, so if you aren't satisfied with how a stage is going in Pac-Mania, you can press the Home button and close and restart the game that way, so that you can continue from the beginning of that stage without losing any lives"
@Clyde_Radcliffe I forgot to mention this, but while the game will tell you if Pause-saving, as it's called in-game, is not supported, you won't be able to Pause-save on the first round of a game, so I would get through the first stage without dying, wasting as many credits as I need to do so, then Pause-save when Round 2 starts. You can continue from a Pause-save as many times as you like without spending credits. Hopefully Namco doesn't patch this so that the game saves upon closing and render my comments outdated. EDIT: I should also add that if you don't want to spend so many credits on the Gashapon machine, you can abuse the heck out of cloud saves, as long as you don't have them set to automatically update. Thank you, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for all those core crystals I saved doing this.

Ahh okay, that's good to know. Also I discovered something in Pac Attack... even though it seems initially like it has no Save Function to help you progress through the Puzzle Mode, when you go in and click on Password it'll automatically put in the password for the most recent level you played on so you can jump right to it.
BTW what does it mean when the ghosts turn blue in Pac Attack? I'm liking Pac Attack a lot, it's very satisfying lining up a row of ghosts for Pac-Man to feast on and I love the 90s house type music!

Yep, Pac-In-Time does it too, which is good, because I ended up really liking that game. I'd say that game made this collection worth it alone! I like finding hidden gems in collections like these; one of the other Namco collections on the Switch helped me discover Tower of Druaga.
