Topic: Overwatch 2

Confirmed to be coming to Switch by director Jeff Kaplan at Blizzcon today.

Yeah, just saw NL's article. I couldn't bother to try the first game even though I said I would if it ever came to Switch. lol

But...apparently the sequel is getting PvE that doesn't show up once a year and is there 24/7. I need a new PvE mode, because I miss Garden Warfare's Garden Ops...and that game died a long time ago. (....and the sequel sucks, lol. lost all of its charm the first one had)

I know this won't be like Garden Ops, but...PvE modes always seemed interesting. I just hated it when games made it where you could only play them at certain times based on a schedule.

Yeah, PvE modes minus the seasonal balony was all I wanted out of the first Overwatch, so I'm definitely interested in the sequel.

With that said, the Switch version of Overwatch runs pretty poorly from what I've heard? Hopefully the sequel fairs better, though how would that work if they still have to play with Overwatch 1 players? I think I'll get it for the PS4 instead...

I dunno, never really cared about framerate unless it dropped or something. So....

Why do you think the sequel to Garden Warfare sucks? It has all the personality if not more, I love the new plants and zombies included. There is also a new Garden Warfare game out now, but being EA I highly doubt the Switch will see it.

The Switch version runs at a damn near consistent 30 FPS, which is totally acceptable. It also has gyro controls for those that like that, exclusive to the Switch. Also it came out at $40 instead of $60, which is always appreciated. The main negative is the lack of Nintendo talking about having Overwatch is killing the player base, and you can wait a long time between matches.

But in my experience you only have to wait long time between matches if you play FPS. I play mostly support and tank, and time between matches is not bad. Some arcade games (mystery heroes) take some time to find match, tho.
(Tbh, if you play quick play on PC, and want to play FPS, wait time is much more.)

Is there a physical release for switch available anywhere

@Ninfan The first game only had a 'code in a box' release, not a cartridge, and the sequel will be free to play so that definitely won't get a physical release either.

And secondly the game this year decided to went over PvP release and until this year they developed primary PvE content. So whole game at best will be release next year and this year PvP as Early Access.

@Kairu I don’t play it on the switch but yeah In play it, I just wish the game gave me more reason to, besides fun of course.

@Kairu Do you still need a phone number to play? If you don't I'm down to download the game and hopefully play a character before they get removed.

@Kairu Yeah, the story mode that was meant to justify the 2 got delayed big time, and all we are left with is a water downed over watch one. I wish I could say my teamates did a good job like in the first one, and they removed the Im on fire for no reason.
