Ok, the Ginso tree is quite possible the worst video game BS I've played since TMNT and the stupid pink coral time bomb mission. It's infuriated, rage inducing, controller breaking stupidity and might end the game right there for me. I've got to near the top 3 times out of about 30 and by then adrenaline is so high I'm crushing the controller and end up missing ever so slightly anyway.

@NEStalgia
I remember that part. You'll get it! Keep at it!

I died soooo many times in this game, but I really enjoyed it. I hope they bring the sequel to Switch.

@NEStalgia I cant recall that part exactly. But are you SUREEEEE its as bad as tmnt water bomb level lol? That was by far the worst. I beat ori so it can't be that bad haha

@NintendoByNature
Yea, I mean, even though it's tough you essentially get to mark your own save points, so you can relieve A LOT of the frustration.

@NEStalgia
But you will feel great once you've done it. In retrospect the Ginso tree was one of my favorite part of the game. So savor every moment of it. 😉

@NintendoByNature I dunno...i eventually got the underwater bomb level done every few tries. I think this thing is worse because it's longer and you have to hit everything perfect or start again... And it gets harder the farther you go!

@NEStalgia Keep at it and you'll feel yourself improving. Don't go for any collectables because you'll be able to return to the Ginso Tree and nab them without the threat of the rising water (that made it much harder for me and so I abandoned doing so). I don't know if you can change difficulty on the fly but easy mode has checkpoints for escape sequences. Bash timing is also pretty lenient, so you should be able to take your time angling Ori. And maybe it's me, but towards the end I wasn't having any troubles.

@NintendoByNature yep.

Well i finally got it by pot luck. Slightly stuck at the next part, the first underwater part, but that's not nearly as annoying as the escape. Even pre escape the tree had some annoying sequences, but that escape was brutal and not at all fun.

Not a big fan of the game design where constant death is likely, it works in most of the game due to a frequent save mechanism.... But in chases, that's ugly..

I'm not sure you can change difficulty.. Forgot that existed at all!

@NEStalgia yea those scenes were intense from what I recall. The game isn't that long at least. Id stick it out if i were you. Its still a decent time.

One thing I will say that frustrated me about the game was that the admittedly beautiful art direction sometimes played tricks on my eyes. Sometimes it was difficult to identify things that could hurt me, holes, even enemies. A lot of cheap deaths from simply strolling into something that I had no idea could hurt me because it sort of blended into the art lol

Has anyone else had a problem in the Misty Forest trying to get the third Key Stone?
My game seems to be malfunctioning and not loading all the "platforms" used to jump onto....
HELP!

This game thrilled me with how great it is. I’m so glad I bought it for the Nintendo Switch and I didn’t regret buying this great game. In the game itself, everything is great for me, from the graphics to the story and the characters. I recommend it to anyone who has not yet played this masterpiece.

I completed this tonight (just in time for TotK!) and I have mixed feelings about it. Parts of this game rival the best 2D platforming there is, but parts of it are really frustrating. The last level is tough, your timing has to be great, but that's fine, it's the last level. There are random sections where you have to be insanely precise and then it will be followed by a a straightforward section. The difficulty just seemed really uneven.

Plus on more than one occasion the foreground meant I couldn't see something and I died.

Really good game, with a few adjustments it could have been an epic game...How does Will of the Wisps compare?

@MarioBrickLayer

I absolutely loved Ori and the Blind Forest! And what you describe were to me only minor annoyances within an overall great experience.

Now concerning Will of the Wisps:
My impression is that most people think it's better than the first Ori. And it's true, that it improves almost every aspect of the first game. But for me it kinda lost the focus and soul of the original Ori. Don't get me wrong: it's still a great game and definitely worth playing. But while I replayed the first Ori three times, I never felt the urge to replay Will of the Wisps.
