@Steven_the_2nd how pass the controls , never thought of that but thats pretty cool , someone can help me in those two blue darknut rooms in Level 8
Or, while you're away, pass the controller to someone who's willing to collect rupees for you so you'll have max purchasing power Or in RPGs someone can level up your characters for a while, and maybe reduce some of the grinding.
Me personally, I'd pass the controller for a while if I'm having difficulty passing a particular spot in a game, just like you mentioned with the darknut rooms example. I probably won't need help myself in Zelda, but rather Mario 3.
My thoughts:
Online Play: pretty much the reason i needed to get this. ()
NES" Online: Great, already own most of the NES games on 3DS and Wii U. i hope they expended it.
Cloud Saves: not a fan of it being lock inside of the paid service. but, atleast were getting it ¯(ツ)/¯.
Nintendo Switch Online app: 👎
Special Offers: i'll wait and see

@subpopz Yeah, I couldn't agree more! Even if it was just something rudimentary - like being able to join a Party and perhaps send messages from the Switch OS (with everything else handled via the app) - it'd be a huge improvement. Having it all tied to the app (an app that's only been compatible with one game up to now) has proven to be a less-than-ideal solution...surprised that it hasn't been addressed, seeing as though it's been one of the most widely criticised aspects of the current system.
I think the 3.5mm jack for the Switch is for audio out only. It does have Bluetooth 4.1, so technically it should be able to send and receive audio, but for some reason there's no way to directly pair Bluetooth headphones with the Switch. There are a few articles on Nintendo Life which detail how to use Bluetooth headphones with the Switch, but it all boils down to either using a dongle or a Bluetooth transmitter:
A nice work around solution would be to have headphones which can combine audio from 2 sources, so that you can, using Bluetooth, receive audio from the Switch using a Bluetooth transmitter plugged into the 3.5mm jack, and receive audio from your phone, and at the same time has a microphone which can be used to talk on the phone.
I've tried to search for something like that, but the closest I get is to use an audio mixer which combines the audio from the Switch and the phone, and then sends the combined audio to the headphone. If anyone knows of a better solution than that, I'd certainly love to hear it.
Actually, writing that I thought of this weird "solution":
1) Get a Bluetooth transmitter to plug into the 3.5mm jack
2) Pair earphones with the transmitter and put them in your ears
3) Get some headphones with a mic that your phone supports
4) Pair those headphones with your phone.
5) Put the headphones over your earphones
6) Enjoy(?) the combined assault on your eardrums.
@subpopz Yeah, I keep on hoping that maybe Nintendo will come around and decide to just use the Bluetooth already imbedded into the Switch to allow the use of Bluetooth headsets with mics. Of course, I've enjoyed Nintendo products long enough to know that Nintendo also does things that make me wonder what on earth they were thinking... And currently this one tops that list.
Maybe some smartsy accessory maker could make a dual headphone accessory.
They’d look like regular wired headphones with a microphone somewhere, the wired connection would go to the switch, while it would connect via Bluetooth to your phone. They’d just need to combine both sources to create a functional product.
Make the wire removable and you have regular Bluetooth headphones, turn off the Bluetooth and you have regular wired headphones. A product for everyone.
There is one very big problem with this online service. It offers way too many things. Things that should never belong to it in the first place, unless they also give valid alternatives for people who don't care about online gaming. Unfortunately if this will be succesful I don't think they will consider giving us those alternatives.
This is the real Switch tax for me and I'm not going to pay it.
I have no problem in paying a bit higher price for games to buy them on my favourite console, but Switch will hardly be my favourite console if Nintendo behaves like this.
I used to be a ripple user like you, then I took The Arrow in the knee
@MarcelRguez Inclined to agree on that count. I guess the idea is PART of the servers are owned by them and cost money (matchmaking, state tracking, etc. etc. Gamespy (back in its PC glory days, as an application, before the website, and ZD....) ran matchmaking services, sure for free, but back then it was different, was borrowed bandwidth, and there were a lot less players, but they basically ran out of money and sold out to ZD. It's not the dedicated servers of XBL, but I do get there's still servers to run and pay for and that even for matchmaking/patching/ongoing development/cheat monitoring etc, running all those services doesn't cost nothing. Not really excusing it (I'm actually interested in cloud saves between my two switches so buying the cloud storage is fair for me...) but I can see their point too.
PS/XB offer store discounts with membership like a wholesale club.....maybe Nintendo will do the same? That's what's really paid off for me on PSN. I've saved at least double the membership fee with member sales.
