@Magician Metroid. As a teenager before I started playing SMT games the make or break was Metroid. I had a Wii because I also had Metroid Prime Trilogy and I loved to play it every day I could. SMT V is the main reason for me to own a Switch but Metroid Prime 4 is a second good reason. While Pokemon, Zelda, Mario, Smash, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing being present is great, those who come to Nintendo for Metroid probably won't get the Switch until Metroid Prime 4.
Another note: while I love having my games on the go, I actually regret getting the Switch as soon as I did. I skipped a bunch of DLC on PS4 to buy it (one of which being the Old Hunters for Bloodborne) to buy a Switch just because I saw a teaser for SMT V and found out it would be Switch exclusive
Life is to short to fight all the time, let's enjoy it while it lasts
Kirby seems dead too (I mean, no more proper, new, amazing, full-price kirby games at retail). Its all free-to-play now with microtransactions. Simple download-titles. Just today I learned there's a Kirby on ios/android called Kirby: Star rush. My heart broke. It looks awful. Why Nintendolife never made a article about it...priorities huh?!
@sixrings You won’t get the Select lineup until the console is reaching the latter stages of the lifecycle. That’s the same as to how PlayStation operates.

It is (though it wasn't that super). But I think it is really time for a new one. One that isn't focused on multiplayer and is as good as Triple deluxe or Planet Robobot. Or make a totally different Kirby game. Kirby was often at its best when it did something different, like Canvas curse or Mass attack.
@sixrings You should check the Nintendo annual reports, they include lifetime sales of games that sold over a million copies. Arms is over a million, the other two might be as well.
@FragRed well the Switch isn’t a new console, if the typical lifespan is 7 years a gen then the Switch is on the second half. I could see a Select lines came out in time for Xmas, perhaps the best way to combat new expensive rival consoles is affordability especially if the price per game rumours are true.
@jump To be honest, Nintendo hasn't even bothered lowering the price of its hardware yet, excluding the handheld only version of the Switch which itself hasn't seen any price reductions since it came out. If Nintendo are unwilling to lower the hardware price, I can't seen them bothering about software. That is just typical Nintendo behaviour.
@sixrings I would too, I don't think their sales have been too good since they came out though. If anything is going to get reductions in prices when the Select range finally hits, it won't be something like Arms or 1-2 Switch, though Kirby probably will as will as others such as Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey etc. However I could see Mario Kart remaining its normal price as that game sells huge numbers regardless so why lower the price when anyone buying the Switch is likely to buy it anyway.

@FragRed Ninty seldom lower the price of their hardware though even when they hit production milestones so the units become cheaper to make but they do have a tendency to offer software cheaper and even named it.
