I don't if anyone else feels this way but Nintendos silence is so annoying. What are they giving us for the rest of the year? where are the big games? What's happening with Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4 and Shin Megami Tensei V.
Kind of agree. Everyone else is getting a lot of attention at the moment and nothing is coming out from Nintendo so they need to start giving us something. I'm not too bothered but i'd like some information
No stress here. Playing Xenoblade Chronicles. Much like the recent Paper Mario announcement, I'm happy to be surprised. I don't need a road map because I'm not an investor,.
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
@Adnanilyas21 - I assume Bayo 3, BotW 2, MP4, and SMT V are all 2021 (or later) games. Which is fine, there's no rush. There are nearly four thousand games to choose from on the eShop. Would the surprise announcement of a handful more be really all that exciting?
Switch Physical Collection - 1,251 games (as of April 24th, 2024)

I can't imagine caring that much that games we know are coming have taken a while to show gameplay footage. You could actually...play video games in the meanwhile.
I mean I kinda get being annoyed at SMT somewhat, but Astral Chain is plenty from Platinum for now (not to mention Bayo 1/2 ports are right there) and Prime 4 was basically restarted from scratch a year and a half ago.so I dunno what you expect there.
This is even ignoring that Nintendo has been announcing games within months of their release for years now.
Honestly? Yeah, it's pretty annoying. People here will disagree and that's fine, but this year has been pretty boring for Nintendo (I should add - sorry - I hate Animal Crossing games). What has there been? Just one main Direct? (and even that was referred to as a mini) Plus a Paper Mario announcement.
There's just not that much on the Switch this year (announced so far) that I'm particularly excited for. Paper Mario hasn't been a must-play franchise since the days of the Gamecube when The Thousand Year Door was released. I'm waiting to see what the new one is like after it's released.
Delays are fine and with the current situation it's even more understanding. I also appreciate big titles like Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3, BotW 2 etc. probably aren't coming until 2021 at the earliest, but come on Nintendo, throw us a bone. There must be more than Paper Mario you can announce and/or show off.
I get Covid-19 put a stop to E3 and other events this year, but there has been loads of games announced, shown off and released for both Microsoft and Sony's current gen and next gen consoles. Where's Nintendo this year?
I’m not saying I like the silence, but I like surprise announcements, so I’m good. I feel like everybody should have a game for themselves. Even if you’re not an Animal Crossing type, can’t Xenoblade and/or Clubhouse keep you occupied until Oragami King? Also, when you look at Pokémon, Nintendo is having a great year.
@Reprise - PS5 and Series X are going to dominate this Holiday season. Nintendo would do well to stand clear. Instead, Nintendo should remain quiet for the rest of 2020 and come out like a boss in early 2021. Deliver the goods while PS5 and Series X suffer supply shortages.

I don't really get the logic there. They stay quiet, and appear dead in the water, they run the risks of folks selling their switches to pay for another console. It doesn't benefit them in the short or long term, to hibernate for 6 months.
@Adnanilyas21
Nintendo has announced their games recently.
It doesn't have to be AAA titles all the time.
Enjoy what games that has been released recently or you can enjoy older games you have never played before to keep you busy.
And Doug Bowser has confirmed that they will not release the games if the games are not ready.
@Grumblevolcano I'd expect based on the tech £380+ for the new consoles. I think if they're £420+ they'll really struggle outside of the initial launch period. As it's a lot of money for games that don't look significantly better than a PS4 game. The fast loading is nice, but it's an unessential convenience until we see more big games on the horizon.
@Anti-Matter It would be nice to get a glimpse at what's coming though. Bayonetta 3 sounds like it's virtually finished, I'm sure they could show a bit of gameplay
The Switch has hundreds of quality games. YouTube channels like Beatemups etc. have very useful videos recommending titles on the eShop. There's so much there.
But people aren't satisfied with what's out and want what's shiny and new.
Just recently in a sale I bought Guacamelee 2, Wandersong as well as Huntdown, another fantastic indie.
@Adnanilyas21 This huge eshop sale reminds me of the big sale they usually have just before E3, and all the new game reveals that come with E3. So, I'm thinking, maybe next week, or soon, they could reveal something. Or the outbreak has really screwed things up, and they're totally winging it at this point.
I'm still waiting on Virtual Console 🤪(I'm definitely joking about VC, because it's not coming)
@Adnanilyas21 honestly, I understand feeling a little frustrated. BUT, I think that the recent PS5 reveal also shows the value of a really good, comprehensive update. I’m pretty sure PS fans would have written the same post before the announcement of when details would be provided. I’d like to at least know when we can expect some news.
