So here's one I ran across today. It's the exact same as the Sheika case from the Zelda LE. In fact I may like it even better. All other cases are sold out, but this one is only up at GameStop, and in stock presumably because it doesn't show in a search for cases. It's a "starter kit". And it's $35. But I love the Sheika case, the layout and quality, and the handle is a MUST. Let me tell you guys right now, you want a handle on your case. Otherwise it will eventually slide out of your hands or drop... The day will inevitably come.

And here's the official Sheika case from the Zelda LE, which I'm using now.

@ROBLOGNICK Thanks - so once it's on, what if it gets badly scratched and I want to take it off and put another one on?

Have I shared the hinge method for alignment and shower method to avoid bubbles with you?. First of all yes, any screen protector can be removed, but you probably don't want to try again with the same one because once you remove it it's almost certainly going to get some kind of smudge your fingerprint or dust on it or it's going to shatter on the corner you lift it from. Screen protectors are basically a one shot item and if you mess it up you just try again with another one.

But if you follow these directions, you should only need to buy one pack to get it right!

Hinge Method for Alignment
Before peeling anything, line up the screen protector on the screen and apply three pieces of tape over the edges and around your Switch to serve as a hinge. You want to practice lifting it and letting it flap down and making sure it is in the exact right spot that you want it. Get it perfect before you continue on, because if you don't have it correctly aligned now it's not going to be right when you apply it.

Once you have that taken care of clean the screen carefully with a brand-new lint free cloth, and I say brand-new because used ones will have dirt and lint and dust on them and will only make it harder to clean your screen without leaving any dust on. Once you have the screen perfectly spotless put it in the bathroom drawer along with the cloth and squeegee (if your screen protector came with one) and a roll of scotch tape.

Now, remove all hanging towels and put on floor level, and then take a shower. Make sure it steams the room up a little bit. Not a lot because you don't want the Switch screen fogging up, but enough to minimize any lint and dust in the air. When you come out of the shower, leave your shirt off, and dry your hair but leave it damp (to prevent dandruff from falling). Now take the Switch and supplies out of the droor. Lift up at 45 degree angle whenever possible to shield the screen from dust falling on it. Carefully lift it along the opposite end of the hinge and ensure there is absolutely nothing on the screen. This is the hard part. You'll have to clean the screen if there is any remaining dust on it- you can use scotch tape doubled up and stuck to your finger to dab at any dust particles as well. When when you think you have it perfect, start peeling away the bottom film of the screen protector. Do this as quickly as possible because while you have it lifted up, dust and dirt can fall on the screen while you're peeling it. Just, don't go so fast that you recklessly put a fingerprint on the screen or something.

Once the film is peeled swing it down into place allowing the hinge to align it. As soon as it makes contact the seal is going to spread. You want to quickly run your finger along the vertical centerline and along the horizontal centerline like a + sign to ensure any air trapped beneath is along the edges and corners and not in the center, because air in the center will likely not work out and you will have to start over with a new one. But if you can ensure no air is stuck in the center then any air towards the corners will easily push out if you run your fingers over them.

For Plastic Screen Protectors
The steps are exactly the same however these are much harder to apply without getting air bubbles. The only difference is after you peel it and are swinging it down to apply it. With plastic screen protectors you'll have to do it slowly and carefully starting at the hinge edge and running your finger back-and-forth as you slowly work your way to the other end. You will almost certainly encounter one or two air bubbles as you do this. As soon as you see an air bubble stop, lift up (can use scotch tape pressed to the outside of it to use to pull up) and use scotch to dab the dust off the screen, or if it's on the actual screen protector dab it off of it, then continue applying as before, progressively working your way to the bottom.

Let me just say that I have never used screen protectors because I always mess them up and can never get them right, and yet by using these methods even I was able to apply a plastic screen protector on my Switch the very first try without a single air bubble and perfectly aligned. Then a week later I was able to apply my tempered glass screen protector or perfectly aligned and without any air bubbles. No it may sound goofy but, if you truly want your screen protector applied professionally, the hinge method and shower method work

I'd really like a carry case that doubles as an adjustable kickstand (and, preferably, that allows you to charge the Switch in tabletop mode...)

eg. a combination of the Hori Tough Case...

...and the Hori Play Stand

The idea of carrying a case AND a separate stand (+AC adapter & other accessories) doesn't really appeal to me - an all-in-one product would be a more portable solution which would suit me better...anyone know of anything I should check out?

Thanks in advance!

I haven't found the 'ideal' case yet, but I've opted to try the PDP licensed Premium Console Case - Mario Edition for starters:

It's growing on me. The mesh slip (not pictured) is a bit fiddly when removing the Switch, but you obviously don't actually have to put it in there, and the mesh is dual-layer so is actually softer and more padded than I expected before I got it.

As for screen protector, why pay more when you can get 5 of these for £5:

Mine went on perfectly in no time at all. No dust beneath it, and no bubbles. No faffing about with hot showers, just peeled back about an inch, stuck it down then slowly unpeeled the rest of it. PoP:
