I know a lot of ppl are fans of the Miis.

I just never liked them much. The Splatoon/Animal Crossing designs of avatars in Switch Sports is much more aesthetically pleasing to me

I want everyone that’s registered for the online test to immediately come on here with their thoughts along with screenshots and videos of it in action

Ah yeah I did see that. It's odd, but I guess it makes sense since the game's in its early stages.

edit: we're not allowed to, according to nintendo. i guess you gotta just hope that a youtuber or twitch streamer shows it but im sorry that i cant. :/

@JaxonH it would be cool to see either of those, especially animal crossing (i would love to see my little animal crossing guy sword fighting) but this new character design is just not it for me. but now it's got me thinking.. what if we could use splatoon or other amiibos to use them in sports??

Nintendo Switch Sports characters design was like a Teen version of ACNH character.

@FragRed Oh I understand now. so it's really good, the animations are smooth and all that, and the music is nice. i haven't actually played a test yet though but so far the UI and the design looks and sounds good, and im starting to not hate those Sports characters. i especially like the music when it says "Thanks for playing! The online play test is not active now." Plus I can't customize my character because its not the full version, but I did randomize it and found one that looks nice. But yeah, it looks like this game might have some good potential

@Anti-Matter i guess so but they look too.. weird. like if the splatoon characters turned into humans and distorted their proportions

Well I’ve been trying the online test and I’ve gotten about 8 communication errors so far lol… haven’t gotten into a game yet

Now that the test hour is here, I'm too tired & crabby to play.🥱 I'm a baby.

....and @MarioLover92 is the only other switch friend that got the game. (the game said you cannot play your friends anyway)

Just played Switch Sports online test.

Tennis is still the best. Sword fighting is confusing, there's a choice of single or double swords - why would anyone choose single sword? Bowling has no strategy, I got a strike almost every time - I was in 1st place. What's the point of Bowling? It's so easy.

Just played a round of Chambara and it was good fun. I didn’t play resort much back in the day because my mom kept my disc but I see why this was her favorite sport in the game.

I’d forgotten how great this game is! Tennis is still awesome. I only had one connection error at the start but the rest of the time worked great! Back tomorrow morning for another round….

Overall I thought it was a solid first run. I had some issues connecting about the first 10 times, but once I did it was a lot of fun.

Chambara is way better than the Wii version, and I loved the Wii version so that's saying something. It feels much more strategic and balanced, as opposed to the Wii version where you just swing the Wiimote and hope for the best.

Bowling feels pretty unchanged to me at least, but perhaps the ball physics are a bit tighter. I do hope we get an option to choose between manual and automatic control schemes like in the Wii version since I like releasing the trigger when I throw.

Tennis has seen a MASSIVE improvement. You have much more control over the ball now, and if you swing really late, it shoots off a pop fly similar to Resort's Table Tennis where if the opponent hits it during the pop fly, it will go flying at you. This version feels a lot more intense and competitive.

I liked what I saw from the 45 minutes I played. I was on the fence about it before, but after playing it, I could see myself grabbing this one.

Had fun, played Chambara, Tennis and Bowling...Of those three, Bowling is the most solid and probably the hardest to screw up. Haven't played online against other players in ages, and my reaction times in Chambara and Tennis really showed that. I did manage to beat a very defensive player in Chambara my first go, but overall it was a test of losses.
