I've heard that they'll be releasing Golf for this later in the year. Any plans the have to bring Baseball and maybe some other ones down the road as well?

Got the answers I was looking for on the article about the last update. For golf, any mode should count towards the Rookie outfit, but only 18 holes counts towards the gold one, and for that you just have to finish with a score under par.
