It's entirely possible that Splatoon Raiders could get a sudden update on Nintendo Today just as suddenly as its announcement on Nintendo Today.

No matter what you think of the app, it's definitely become a special, important news hub for Nintendo.

@FishyS While Nintendo can easily workaround no Direct on the 1st party side of things by just sharing info on Nintendo Today and social media, that doesn't quite work for the 3rd party side of things. Switch 2 isn't at the point where random reveals and appearances at big non-Nintendo events are common enough yet so at the very least I think we'd get a Partner Showcase.

@Grumblevolcano That Sketchbook demo for Pragmata is one such announcement that'll probably be in the Direct. They said it's coming to consoles soon, so that would be an easy shadow drop that would drum up hype for a major 3rd party release.

@IceClimbers Maybe, though there's also potential RE9 and MH Stories 3 demos to take into account. Might be that a Direct, State of Play and Capcom event all has a demo announcement each.
