Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

@TheBigBlue They replied to someone on Twitter saying same thing about F-Zero being an NSO game with the single word “no”. Obviously never take a leaker as gospel no matter how good the track record, but it does sound like it’s probably going to be a remaster if anything. And that to me makes most sense with this particular franchise.

Also I'm not entirely sure why we're spoiler tagging Nintendo Direct rumours. I would think if you don't want to read about Direct leaks you don't scroll through the Direct speculation thread. Though, I guess given the volume of posts in the last little bit.... probably a bit of a courtesy. I guess with the level of activity some people would be clicking in here wondering if a new Direct had been announced

When people overlook the comment of a leaker taking the piss out of an article, and think it instantly means a new Ninja game is releasing.

@skywake From the top of my head if GX comes to Switch that means all of the main console titles will be there (SNES, X, addition of GX). Maximum Velocity isn’t worth announcing in a Direct as it can just be dropped with a separate trailer another time. GP Legend and Climax are unlikely to come to NSO due to the anime licensing but hey we recently got some random movie licensed GBC game

Have any of these leaks implied which day the direct will be? I've been assuming next week, but I wouldn't mind knowing a day. I understand Nintendo trying to keep game announcements under wraps, but the refusal to give advanced warning of the actual direct dates always annoys me a bit.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already but Pyoro tweeted "Reminder: Pac-Man 99 will be discontinued in one month" and has subsequently began to like replies which mention 'F-Zero 99'. This is getting VERY interesting now

@Nintoz Yeah and the guy that leaked/got information about the Mario RPG Remake also said something along the line of not expecting a new DK game (maybe a movie or sth?) but something else and that Metroid Prime 4 is ready to be shown off but is unsure if it's during the direct or not

@Neph The whole Donkey Kong situation could well be just a NSO thing. As a few people have pointed out, it's kind of an odd time for a 2D Donkey Kong. I wouldn't have thought Nintendo would want to steal SMBW's thunder. Wonder-thunder if you will! A 3D Donkey Kong would be amazing, the best situacion if you will. At the moment, I have full faith in Pyoro and I'd imagine he'd want to keep his squeaky clean reputation too!

If the Direct does happen next week, it makes me question what the state of Scarlet/Violet will be in when the DLC launches. Don't get me wrong, I didn't experience much problems with Scarlet specifically in terms of bugs (just a few things early on) but I know that it varied massively from person to person. Some had only a few problems, others had a Cyberpunk 2077 at launch scale experience.

On another note, I appreciate the use of spoiler tags regarding discussing the massive leak. I'd much rather mostly be surprised (a Nintendo news site already spoiled 1 thing because of a headline).

@Nintoz That is the most vague thing I think I’ve seen from that account. Could be literally anything.

@FragRed Haha yeah, in a way I sort of appreciate his enigma.
Because he could just come out and say everything as it is (although his account would probably be in jeopardy.)

So at the very least I'm glad he's playing the 'direct hype' game.
