@jump Sorry! I meant to say galaxy 2 dlc! It would have added galaxy 2 to the collection for 20 more bucks. Also do you think that if the 3d remasters are real that there will be a collectors edition or not?
You might as well throw my prediction of September 4th in the trash now guys. We would have heard something by now considering it would have been a major direct ..... SIGH
@jump he sugesting that Nintendo could add Super Mario Galaxy 2 as DLC or in a update, in the rumored 3D Mario Collection that Nintendo is suposed to release to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Mario Franchise.
We all know it is happening on 25th December guys. Nintendo will hold a Christmas Direct which will reveal all the games of 2020, including Paper Mario The Origami King, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Pikmin 3 Deluxe just to really troll everyone thinking they'd announce anything for next year

Yeah this was my guess too. Nintendo are really conservative about the value of their products. They almost never change their attitude on that. They don't do things like Xbox did with the Master Chief Collection, where you get an insane over-the-top amount of value for money.
The only way we get all 4 games in a single compilation is if they've made no changes to any of the games. Just rendered in 1080p 60fps and stuck on the same disc. Anything more than that, and they're not giving us 4 games.
So my guess is that it'll just be the 3 games in the compilation. Mario 64 will have had a moderate graphical improvement, Sunshine will have had a very minor upgrade, and Galaxy will have had no changes at all. That will be roughly worth $60. Then Galaxy 2 will be added as DLC 6 months later when they need to fill a gap in the calendar.
@sixrings Because they know they are wrong but rather than admit that they have zero idea what Nintendo are actually doing, they want to keep people following them and believing every word they say like some kind of Mosiah.

@Slowdive you never "knew" but you refuse to admit that but rather protect your sources whom are blaming their sources. Nice circle of blame you created.
I don't think we will se any "big" Nintendo Directs this year. The two biggest Nintendo announcments so far this year(Pikmin 3 and Paper Mario) has been tweeted. It just seems strange that they would have a big Nintendo direct just two or three weeks after a Partner Direct, altough Nintendo could have been contractually obliged to include some of the games in a direct before a set date, say end of august. But why would'nt Nintendo just include their games in the august mini direct?
I'm also afraid that these lackluster Partner Showcases will continue throughout the year. They are just so...boring...at least to me. I want Nintendo games in a direct, dammit!
But it seems logical to expect some kind of announcement before the end of september for what Nintendo is releasing during the holidays.
@Dezzy They definitely do make a lot of their annoucements at that time at least. It's exactly midnight here which makes it easy to remember. I take a quick peek at my YouTube subs after the date changes over just incase they decide to shadow drop something again.
I understand that COVID happened, but man, I just want a massive info blowout in a direct
We're all so antsy as it's been so long since that last 'General' Direct. I think we're probably just gonna get more partner showcases, unless Nintendo wanna surprise us
@Chunga agreed I bought a Nintendo console to play Nintendo games. But people here seem so grateful for Indies and bad third party ports maybe it doesn't matter to Nintendo. And I don't understand backlogs. If games were that great you would have finished them already. Backlogs are either games you deep down know aren't that great so they go to the back burner or backlogs are the result of people who can't control themselves and buy more games than anyone could play in one life.
Same. I want like a whole years worth of announcements. They don't have to all be coming out anytime soon, I just want loads of things to look forward to and speculate about. Literally just give us a 30 second Metroid Prime 4 gameplay peak and Breath of the Wild 2 trailer and I'm done.
@FragRed price and release. Again it's not that I don't think some Mario games are going to come but Sony and Microsoft will need to start preorders soon.
