@Magician Did Pokken and Snap have the same dev team or just from the same company?
I'd like a Pokken 2 but if there was a new Pokken I'd imagine it will hit the arcades first. I can see Bandai Namco being brought in to develop the remakes since they are outsourcing those now.
Haruki Suzaki directed NPS. Same design director as Pokken Tournament and Soul Calibur V. Although the NPS dev team staff probably wasn't 1-for-1 with those game, I assume much of the development resources were the same.
Edit: Correction, design director, not project director.
@Magician I didn't know that, I just assumed they went to Bandai because they liked their work with Pokken rather than it was they wanted the same guys.
I hope that doesn't mean there wont be a new Soul Calibur anytime soon. I was hoping for one to be announced at E3.
@Balta666 Gen 1 was 151 pokes but Snap had maybe half of them (not sure on the exact number) so it is a big bump up which is a good thing as the first one did feel short.
I've done the first level and will have to wait now til after work before I can play some more but it's very nice. The gyro controls are lovely, the visuals are better than the screenshots and it feels like the levels (or the first one at least) are lot more replayable than the orginal.
This game is fantastic - really captures the feel of the original game and then some. It's also making me really appreciate some Pokemon designs that I didn't really care for before.
Nintendo take note: it really doesn't hurt to revive dormant serids sometimes!
I'm about 3 hours in now and I'd say it's a solid four thumbs up. There's a few niggles like they should have a list of requests displayed when you pause so you can keep track of what you need and leveling up/requests slows the pacing down but it's still a very chill game.
