@YummyHappyPills
It'll get one. They already confirmed it I believe (And they always do physical in all regions for MH).
It's hot off the announcement presses so, give it a little time. Still no listing at BestBuy, for example. Usually takes a month or so to show up.
Btw, no Little Nightmares physical release in NA. Listing was removed from Gamestop, never showed up at any other retailer. Will have to import from UK, along with One Piece Pirate Warriors 3.
Thank goodness for region free

@JaxonH "They always do physical in all regions for MH".
They also do physical in all regions for Resident Evil except Switch Revelations. They also did physical in all regions except for Switch Okami! XD This is Capcom man. Sure it could be a matter of time but it's also the same company that said RE wasn't financially viable.
Shame you need to import from the UK. Means the game is more expensive for you.
The exact wording they used was :" when it launches on August 28, 2018 for digital and physical retail purchase across North America and Europe."
Which due to how it is written....could honestly swing both ways. If it happens cool, if not...eh oh well. I expect it.
In related news, Crash Bandicoot is only 5.2GB on Switch. Hooray.
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
@Tsurii That's the plan. I've kinda been waiting for this to release before buying a Switch (that, and I've been super busy lately, and didn't want to have the distraction at the moment), so now I'll have my excuse. xD
I never got Generations due to burning out on MH4 Ultimate on the 3DS (and well, generally burning out at that time, it's not like I got more than a few dozen hours into that game, I was still in the first area. Have barely touched my 3DS since that whole thing outside of Samus Returns) Been holding out for Generations Ultimate, and glad I did. Considering most of my time playing Tri was on the gamepad on the Wii U, I feel pretty confident I'll actually make it to endgame this time.
Ugg I just now figured out how to switch the controls from the small L+R to the ZL+ZR on the Japaneese version. This make me even more excited for this release now because I didn't like the smaller L+R controls in portable mode!!!

@zionich
Ah, ya the ZL and ZR are fantastic and much more comfy to run with.
Just a heads up- if you have a separate Japanese account with its own Nintendo Account tied to it that you used to purchase the game digitally, the game will register as "purchased" in the eShop of other regions once it releases. Meaning you won't have the option of purchasing the NA version digitally because it will say you already own it. Even if you delete the software it will still say you purchased it, and of course it won't be in your re-download section because it was purchased with a separate Nintendo Account.
But I found a solution. Simply go into the settings to your JP Account, and click "unlink from Nintendo Account". By doing this, the game will no longer register as owned on the system, allowing you to purchase the game from another region. Of course once you make the purchase you can re-link the account in settings. It only takes a minute or two, and your software is not deleted just from unlinking and linking, neither is your save data deleted.
Not that I think anyone would care about that after getting the NA version. But just as a disclaimer in case perhaps you made other purchases on the Japanese eshop under that account. They will all be fine
They should really add rebindable controls to Monster Hunter games. I know that's like anathema to Nintendo games, but c'mon, Skyrim can do it. I'd wager the combat in Skyrim has just a few less inputs than MH.
@Haru17 Uh, isn't this a Capcom game last I remembered? And though you can't fully customize the buttons, there are at least a few preset configurations to choose from?
By my calculations, XX has these monsters and 6 deviants on top of Cross' original content.
Diablos
Gravios & Basarios
Fatalis'
Lao-Shan Lung
Giadrome
Congalala
Barroth
Barioth
Nerscylla
Valstrax
Ahtal-Ka
I was going to point out Fatalis before noticing he was already on the list. lol
I guess I will say that, in addition to the monsters, there's a new map called the Ruined Ridge. (Japanese name) And brings back 2nd Gen Desert and Jungle. I'm pretty sure everyone knows about the new Alchemy and Valor styles, but Prowlers now have their own styles as well. Aerial (activates when the cat is enraged), Boomerang (throws a third boomerang), and Adept. (works like the Hunter's Adept) I think those are it. Oh yeah, Beast type is a thing, not sure what it's called here.
Anyways, just felt like pointing this out for anyone who doesn't know about XX.
@meleebrawler Yes I know, however, MH was almost a second party Nintendo game up until this last year. I'm saying that Capcom shouldn't ignore control remapping just because it wasn't expected on Nintendo's platforms.
Well technically all the multiplayer content can also be played in single player.
This, G-Rank can be solo'ed. There might be a few quests with super-powered monsters that are better off taken down with help, but for the most part you can do it all alone.
