You download the 3DS app, then open it.

Select the first, top option. Itll open a connection with the server and link to it, and provide a code.

Then itll say to open the game on Switch, and one of the options in the menu is Receive 3DS data. Select that option and enter the code.

The link will then be established between them. Upload the save data to the cloud on 3DS using the app, then on Switch select the save data hosted on the cloud you wish to download.

I may be off on a detail or two, but that's basically the process.

Is the digital preload game live yet? No? Usually it's 11am central time.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to unlock it tomorrow after work.

I'm downloading Generations for now, but I'm considering buying Generations Ultimate. It won't be anytime soon, though...but yeah, might as well see what the game is like in English.

Anyway, the Ultimate preload is still not out unfortunately.

...I played the first game in English, but not Generations Ultimate, the game has a lot of new additions and I probably missed out on some of it because of the language barrier.

Well yeah, but you made it sound like "I played Generations Ultimate in Japanese, so now I'll play Generations 3DS to see how it is in English"

Oh, well I meant that I just can't get GU at the moment. So I'll just start a new game in Gen for the time being due to that save transfer thing. That way when I do get GU I can skip most of the Gen stuff and move right on to the Ultimate content. lol

Nah, I just did the stupid and deleted the game data. xD
I didn't think I would need it, I didn't even think that I would buy the localized version of XX last year. lol

Does anyone know yet if the entire game is on the cart or if there is a mandatory download to play?

Yeah...I'm starting to think the circle pad is crapping out on me, though. I haven't used the 3DS in a while, and controlling my character seems...weird. >.>

Hm still not activating. I guess it'll be one of those "wait 'til the usual eshop update time" predownloads.

...Ugh, I'm not gonna be able to play as Prowler anymore after using them in GU. xD

Prowlers get a boost in GU, basically...since they have their own "arts" as well as some moves got an upgrade and all that. (Mega Boomerang is actually useful in GU when used right) They're still useful in Gen, but with all the new stuff added in this game, it's going to be difficult to get used to it.
