People are saying hunting horn appears to be able to be used in the classic fashion OR in the new simplified way? I mean, I like the revamp, but this will make a certain someone happy if true

I guess you didn't play the tutorial, because holding A is explicitly described.

As my first Monster Hunter experience, this demo has grabbed me by the shirt collar and won't let go. I'll gladly continue being knocked into submission while desperately trying to down a health potion.

I still haven't found "my" weapon, but I'm experimenting with all of them. So far, the Switch Axe is what I've found the most flexible and fun. That said, there are so many hidden contextual intricacies to every weapon that my experimentation may take a long time indeed.

Apparently there’s a glitch where, if you hunt online and anyone in your party has 50+ friends in their friends list, you’ll get intermittent lag.

I only have 30, so I should be good? But just an FYI in case this happens to anyone. I’m sure Capcom will have this resolved by release day. But for now, just be aware.

...Apparently there's more to the monster moveset, gonna have to mess around with that again. At first I thought they only had 3 moves (not counting that finisher thing), apparently you can do even more than that, and there's even a hidden move?

Dude. The Hunting Horn seems a bit OP. I KO'd the rathian twice in like 3 minutes. Anyone happen to have the time with the Hammer?

@Joeynator3000 Well, I doubt the Rathalos' aerial fireball attack shown in the trailer will be a simple X/Y command.

@JaxonH I know how to play alot of MH wepons maybe to many when playing world I was trying to find a main and I just played so many, I know how to play a good number even the hunting horn, I would play it when the team would play the more bigger wepons and needed a healer of sorts.

So it is holding back on the control stick? I figured it was after an evade.

Horn is amazing.

I just took out Mizutsune in like, 20 minutes. Half the time it took me with the charge blade. It’s so user friendly. I think I’m gonna start recommending the doot stick for new players.

Tried Hunting Horn today and it seems like they fixed it. Couldn't make heads or tails of the weapon in previous entries, but it's really accessible and fun to use here.

Maybe I'll try other weapons and see if they've been improved.

Also getting more used to using the wirebugs. They're fun. I love propelling myself at a monster like Spider-Man.

I finally got round to playing the demo, and it was a lot of fun. I used the trusty hammer, which worked fine as always.

Also tried out the insect glaive, and thankfully it's now possible to aim the kinsect. That should remove a lot of the frustration with it. It was annoying back in Generations Ultimate how it would only fly horizontally directly in front of the hunter, which made harvesting essences from higher up body parts awkward.

Did you use the voiced shoutouts to communicate? I love how they’re voiced now so you don’t need to read the chat box

@JaxonH I love that to OMG this game is so freaken good and its just a demo.

The Horn is fun and strong, it's just not the horn...

But anyway, maybe I'm crazy, but the monsters can get element blighted as well. Sprayed the Mizitsune with some Rathian fire balls and the thing was on fire! I'm heavily curious to see what dragon blight will do to the monsters.

I had character voices turned off, I couldn't stand them. lol

@JustMe You could aim the kinsect in World and now Rise, and all games let you aim the marker. But I think 4U and Gen Ult only let you shoot the kinsect in front of you.

@JaxonH I forgot shoutouts are a thing in Monster Hunter. I'm too used to playing solo hunts.

Gunner/bow with gyro is amazing, why wasn't this done before? Maybe in world it did?

I love the vibrant colors. So far I like the "feel" of this game more compared to world.
