If you had a bad experience, I feel confident in saying it wasn't due to the game (otherwise everyone would have issues, and 99% of everyone I've ever spoken to who played the game had zero issues).
If you just have poor internet though, the game can't help with that. Or if you connect to someone else's game who has crap internet, there's no saving you from that. It's just the nature of the beast. And when you play online with others, you're bound to run into some people with poor internet. Playing once isnt enough to determine whether it was you or them though. If it's once in a while, its who you're playing with. If it's all the time, it's you.
I've put hundreds of hours into World, on two separate platforms now, and never had issues. Granted, I only played with my bro and we both have great internet.
I recommend doing an internet connection test on your Switch to determine your upload and download speeds. You can also do a test on your browser to check ping time.
Btw, World MP was more difficult than single player due to monsters scaling down for solo hunts. Which is why many people opted to not hunt online. It just made fights like Nergigante way more difficult, especially when people would SOS into your game and start carting, on top of the HP scaling. Not sure if the hub will scale down to solo or stop at scaling down to 2p

It wasn't my internet, but I did hear that the PC version of World had issues...and the internet was just crappy back then. My Switch online always ran perfectly fine with Monster Hunter, only time I had issues with online multiplayer on Switch was Pokemon, but that's normal because...you know...Pokemon. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
The only worry I have is I don't wanna see a lot of new armour designs because those I DEFINITELY don't want spoiled for me. What they revealed in the weapon trailers was already too much for me, even though a lot of them look like they're coming from new monsters, returning monsters were just being spoiled left right centre.
Can’t help it. I went on a Monster Hunter splurge.
Bought this
And this
And this
And.... this too, which was the most expensive of all. It’s a Monster Hunter XX 1/7 Scale Figure of a huntress and palico in Mitzusune armor
And, I bought sealed copies of all the Monster Hunter games I was missing that released in the west, to display on the MH shelf. Now I have them all sealed, like my Fire Emblem display.
@DarthNocturnal
That’s odd. I saw on Reddit the collector edition finally went up for preorder in Canada, and that has the Magnamalo amiibo. Surprised they didn’t put the amiibo listings up at the same time. Amiibo are great for getting a nice little figure relating to a game, without breaking the bank, that doesn’t take up much space. I just wish the Hunter got an amiibo. We NEED Monster Hunter in Smash.
You shouldn’t have any trouble getting them though.
I imported all 6 MH Stories amiibo back in the day, and have about 50 or so of the MH Figure Builder series figures, which are about the same size as amiibo. But no room for all of them, so I boxed them up.

This is a free demo of Monster Hunter Rise for Nintendo Switch.
You need a Nintendo Account in order to access the Nintendo eShop.
You need 1.6GB of free space on your Nintendo Switch or your microSD card to download the demo.
Up to four players can play the demo in Local or Online Multiplayer, as long as each player downloads the demo.
In order to use Online Multiplayer, a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required.
The quests for Great Izuchi and Mizutsune can only be played a total of 30 times.
Once you've reached this limit, all 4 quests, including the Basic Training Quest and the Wyvern Riding Training Quest, will no longer be available.
The demo is available with the following limitations:
[Single Player and Local Multiplayer] Until the remaining number of quests hits 0.
[Online Multiplayer] Until the MONSTER HUNTER RISE DEMO can no longer be downloaded.
You will not be able to transfer your save data to the main game.
Ive just read the the multiplayer is going back to how it was before World. Can anyone confirm this?
If so this has just gone from a pre order of the collectors edition to a hard pass for me or pick up pre-owned down the line.
