I have a question as beginner hunter for you elder master hunters.

Is there a way to remove, disable companions (the cat and the dog)? Can I play the game (this and other MH) solo (real solo)?

I suppose you could, although I don't know why you would. MH is a series of boss-rush games. If you aren't out in the field gathering mats for crafting, then you're working against the clock to take down your target, as soon as possible. The palico and palamute are there to speed things along. You might piss off your lobby of fellow hunters if you dilly dally gathering mats while a hunt is on.

Okay, so I have no idea when my shipment will arrive. The GameStop app on my phone directs me to a page that lists the carrier as the United States Post Office with an expected delivery date of April 5, but then I got an email from GameStop that directs me to a page stating FedEx as the carrier with an expected delivery date of today?! I have no idea. Maybe I'll get two copies for the price of one. Wouldn't that be something.
