Just placed an order for this through Walmart, and it should get here next week.

I enjoyed the original game (which was bundled with our first 360), and I'm currently in the mood for superhero games (recently started up Arkham Asylum for the first time ever on my PS4), so I can't wait.

Ooooof, a 74 on metacritic. Mildly disappointing. But I look forward to picking up copy on a steep discount later this year none the less. Love the opportunity to play as Blade.

Ms Marvel is probably the biggest and best selling character Marvel have created in the last 10 years and is deserving a spot on the line up. I'd rather see additions to the Marvel lore rather than going back to same handful of characters. I'm more annoyed that there's so many Inhumans who are a flop in both the comics and telly. I'm happy Spider-Gwen and Luke Cage are included.

That's a good score though, I really don't like people's obsession that only games that get 9/10s are worth playing.

I've been playing it for a few hours so far, it's really enjoyable. My only complaint is with the levelling up system as you can't just rotate characters, I tried playing as Falcon and Thor for a change and they are noticeably weaker a few levels later, maybe I should drop the difficulty and play as the weaker ones to balance it out.

The game has intro artwork that changes depending on how far into the game you are, it has a gallery section full of character designs and concept art but they decide the loading screen should just be the number 3, and not even Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, just the number 3.

I don't consider 68-78 for a niche game particularly bad. I think it just reaffirms that the game is niche.

You worry about yellow zone games on Metacritic when it's a heavily hyped AAA game, because then it's actually trying to reach a wide audience.

Do you have to have played the first two games or can you just start with this one?

To be honest you can play all of the Legends/MUA games as stand alone. There is some tie in but not enough that you would be totally confused between entries.

Gotta say as a longtime fan of the series I am loving this latest one. The camera was fiddly until I realized that a lot of the times the fixed camera is the best angle so once I stopped trying to force it everything just clicked. Sadly I will be putting this down soon though. FE3H is on the way and that has my life until Zelda drops.

Nah, you're good. While it is called MUA 3, the story does not tie in to the previous MUA games...especially when you consider the fact that MUA 2 had a white Nick Fury.

I'll be playing most the day doing the story or Infinity Trials. Hit me up if you're down to clown. As someone who mostly uses Xbox, I have to say that the social functionality for the Switch is weak and incredibly behind the competition.

If you're at all familiar with the comics, cartoons or the movies then you will be fine. The game's story is just fluff to show off the characters and doesn't connect with the previous games.

Am I the only person who's upset you can't play as Lockjaw?

Seems like my copy arrived earlier than expected so hopefully I'll be able to start it up tonight.

Just hope they fix local multiplayer/online multiplayer for less than 4 players. Right now if you are playing 2 player the host gets 3 characters and the other player gets 1. Totally breaks gameplay if someone dies.

The alt costumes you can unlock seem like a missed opportunity, they are just palette swaps rather than using any of the famous designs from the comics. I unlocked Daredevil and it went from red to black, I just thought to myself why couldn't have been yellow at least.

Is it just me or is this game brutally difficult?

I'm only on the Kingpin fight, and he's absolutely kicking my butt (this last time I even had to use up all my revives before the second phase...). It's not really something I've heard anyone talk about though, so I can't help but think there's something I'm not doing right.

Apart from when I decided to change things up and use the unlevelled characters (I don't like the levelling system here, part of having an all roster should be encouraging people to try different characters) I'm finding it a tad on the easier side.
