Topic: Mario Wonder: Who are you playing as?

Blue Toad for the win though I would love to play as my Mii.

Haven’t got it yet, but I’m gonna go with Mario at least for the first while.

Was it the right or wrong decision to make all the characters (apart from Nabbit and Yoshi) play the same? Or should Luigi have had his big jump etc?

I suppose the impact would essentially be to give some characters a free badge. If Luigi had a big jump, it would have been fun to enable the jump badge to give him an insane jump!!!

Red Yoshi. Don't care if Yoshi is a easy mode. I'll play as I please.

Peach. I love how the game treats whoever you play as the protagonist, even in the narration.

Peach - I just like the rare occasion that we get to play as her, and I much prefer her to Daisy.

I would have used LB yoshi but since he is easy mode I used Mario.

I normally play as either Mario or Peach. <3

@Link-Hero Because I already completed it with Blue Toad & Daisy. That & I was grinding for extra 1-UP's up to 60 at least. Besides even if I didn't play as Yoshi the 1st time, the "!" Block Badge & the Parachute Hat badge already nullifies some of the challenge anyways. I'm basically starting a 2nd playthrough on my other profile as Red Yoshi solely
I just never bothered mention it because of laziness.

Daisy for me.

Once/If I complete the main story, I'll go back to collect what I missed the first time as Daisy and Peach.

I always choose Mario for my first playthrough, then go back later and use other characters.

Blue Toad because he's Blue Toad

I've been playing as my main character Luigi (if he's an option, he'll always be my first choice), while the wife has been going with Daisy as her character of choice.

Mario because I’m boring

Daisy for a change of pace. Not that it matters outside of Nabbit and the four Yoshis since they're basically palette swaps in this game.

I've played a bit of most of the characters, but I've mostly been going back and forth between Toadette and Daisy.

To be fair, falling in a pit/lava is typically more of a concern in Mario games than most of the enemies and Yoshi still dies to that (plus thwomps, auto-scroll, etc). I would also argue some of the power-ups make many levels easier than Yoshi does.
Regardless, people can have fun with any of the characters, whether in their first playthrough or later.

World 1: Mario
World 2: Luigi
World 3: Peach
World 4: Daisy
I don't know who I will pick for other worlds and levels, and I'll obviously mix up characters when replaying levels.

I've been playing as Daisy 99% of the time. Yoshi I only save for levels I keep dying in and no one's around to revive me.
