Topic: Mario Strikers Battle League

New Mario Strikers game for the switch. Looks fun.

I grew up playing the originals! This is amazing!

I've actually never played Strikers but I've heard a lot of good things.

Do we know if its Next Level yet?

This is the one game I wanted most in this direct. I loved these games on the Wii and GC and I cannot wait for this.

Was hoping for this. Was just playing this last week with my son.

I have been waiting for this to come to the switch. and with all these games, I think I just want a switch two, nothing more, its a wii, a wii u, a DS, its everything!

Box art looks fire

Nintendo just picked up a gauntlet and slapped EA in the face. I know mario sports is not the same as a sim but for a lot of nintendo players this is our FIFA and we are legion. My only regret was I came into the Direct late since I had a meeting so I couldn't melt down properly in the live chat.

I can't wait. These are my favorite soccer game right after Nintendo World Cup. Hopefully I can find an OLED Switch before this comes out.

Add me to the list of "never played one of these before, not really much of a football (of the soccer flavour) fan, but think this game looks fun as hell".

I don't play to many soccer games, and the ones I do or did play, died, and I didn't really want to play the other ones, so I waited for the day this game would come to the switch.

I hate soccer, but from that funny over-the-top WorldCup soccer game on the NES to the original strikers on the gamecube I just love funny sports titles. This was a real surprise. Can't wait to play it. Now I only need friends.

Poor Luigi by the way. He got knocked into an electrical fence not once but twice in the trailer. Poor dude's always getting the short end of the stick.

@Scollurio The Super Mario Strikers is second to me right after Nintendo World Cup.

Do you guys think this game will have the little bit of edginess the other games had? It was pretty light overall, but the characters just felt so tense in this game series then any other games they have been in.

The box art pretty much tells me what I need to know I guess.

@Snatcher I noticed that too, but generally, is it just me or are things low-key dystopian? I mean, look at the new kirby game, it literally plays in the ruins of a civilization that looks a lot like our modern world... then there's Splattoon 3, tbh it looked and sounded creepy as hell. All that fish-stuff, very lovecraftian and the dissonance in the music? If I was a kid, I would be creeped out. And yes, that strikers game looks also very tense.

Guess kids are being prepared for a not so pleasant future eh?
