@jump this person after Mario kart 9 is not happy. This was the worst part of the direct, it just looks so boring and childish ( no offense to people who like it but this is definitely not something I wanted.

Man if this wouldve come out when my kids were a little younger would've been a blast! Looks pretty cool but something we will probably be skipping. Terrific idea!

The fun of it will come from making your own circuits - using Jenga blocks, Lego, books, cushions etc - there's just a large nagging doubt that the signal will cut out as soon as you drive round the back of the sofa...

I’m excited to play this, but worried to buy it.

I was concerning the price of the bundle.
One Mario Kart RC was pretty expensive, not to mention buying two vehicles.

If it cost 30$ then ok but if its like 100$ for just a real life mario kart drop me out and why the hell is the mario 30th games going to be a limited run?

This seems like a really neat idea, though Nintendo shouldn't think for a second that this is a replacement for a main series game.

@gcunit One kart, though for multiplayer each person needs their own system, kart, and game copy according to the official website.

@ianl579 That could be the killer. I've got two systems, but forking out £200 for 2 karts is pretty indulgent, even for me.

@gcunit ive not seen any Uk prices yet, with exchange rates it should be about £75 from the $99.99.

@jump It's €120 elsewhere in Europe. So I expect around £100.

I wonder if this was a side effect of the Mario Kart ride for Super Nintendo World.

This looked like a really cool novelty idea, that would lose interest after a few hours.
