Topic: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

Link's character model is literally if you took a Mother character's concept art and put it into a game. Personally I don't see how it's bad, but that's just me.

Zelda and Final Fantasy are my 2 favourite series. I haven't played Zelda 2 or Final Fantasy 2 (coincidence that it's the same number).
I think when a series has like 15 games and you've played over 10 of those, you can reasonably call yourself a devoted fan. That's a lot of time spent playing a series. You should judge it by absolute numbers rather than percentage of the series.
It would be weird to start a Zelda channel if you'd only played 2 games, but like 7-10 games is probably enough to call yourself a fan.

@Delibheel I agree Delboy. The look certainly remains faithful. Right down to the black lines for eyes and small white shine on his hat (I mean, how did cloth do that?) If it was a western IP, it would have had a cynical rebrand to blue BotW link etc to capitalise (man I hate that word in the current climate) on Breath of the Wild.

What do ya'll think the next remake should be then? If all goes well oracle games would be good.

Personally, I'd like to see the original zelda done in this style

@MrGam3andBu1ld Zelda 1 needs WAY more than just a simple remake. It needs a reimagining the same way Metroid Zero Mission and Samus Returns did for Metroid 1 and 2.

However, personally I want to see Zelda II reimagined. That was my favorite Zelda game until BotW came out.

That was my first thought. If the style does well....then I can dream of an Earthbound remake in the same vein 😂

Options are rather limited for experiencing GB games. You buy the GB cart and get a GB, GBC, GBA or GC + GBP to play it on or you buy it on 3DS VC. Nintendo's been way too focused on NES and SNES over the years.

Minish Cap is basically perfect but I’d love a overhaul like they’ve done here.

Oh, and don't forget they will likely fix the unskippable messages that appeared every time you touched a rock or a crystal.

That's gonna be a big improvement.

If they fix the repetitive music every time you get a Piece of Power or the defensive buff, that'll be ace.

@JackEatsSparrows Yes please. Maybe we can also trick them into making Mother 3 in a similar style. And while we're at it, trick them into remaking Pikmin 4, maybe then we'll actually get the game...

@MrGam3andBu1ld yea that's all i was saying kind hypocritical to have a list of top 10 dungeons without experiencing all. But I didn't mean to sound like a gate keeper or im more of a fan than this person. That's not my style nor do i want you guys on here to think thats who I am. I wasn't saying they aren't zelda fans I was merely second guessing how they could come to conclusions with excluding some of the main titles In the series is all. But i definitely understand what you're saying

My only issue with the dx version was the constant swapping of items on to two buttons, other than that I enjoyed the game.

Link's Awakening is my 2nd favorite Zelda title, but I'm definitely not picking this up if it's over 20€. I still have my GB version and I'm not overly hooked on the art style.
