@Pahvi My dad's not in game development by the way (so it's not a straight parallel comparison) ..I was just meaning that, with ambitious projects, costs can spiral - but, like I say, if workplace laws were broken (ie. working without pay wasn't voluntary) that's a different story altogether

I was very excited about this game when it first came out and pre-ordered in for 360. While it was OK I eventually found it boring and never even finished it. Considering I already paid $60 for this game once in my life there is no way I would ever pay more that $19.99 on Switch. No thanks.

I have this for PS3 - played it once and fell asleep after half a hour.
I totally recommend this if you have sleep disorders.

R* shoulda put GTAV on switch instead. Heck, Id buy GTAIV on Switch.

I will be getting this on my PS4 Pro for the visual enhancements, but why are you so salty about in coming to the Switch or how its being handled/priced on the switch?

@Pahvi Yeah, I didn't word that particularly well really...it just seems to me (an outsider looking in) that these types of businesses must incur a lot of costs before they can begin to make money - so this sort of thing probably happens a bit more often in this type of industry than it would in other industries (eg. computer repair) where you can start to make money pretty much from the get go...

...but that's more a general take on the industry as a whole, rather than Team Bondi in particular - I'm in no position to comment on them specifically

I do plan on getting the superior version- the Switch release. 2 versions in one, optional motion and touchscreen and HD Rumble... that's far superior to a few graphical improvements.

I wonder how the motion and touch screen functionality will work. I love that they're tailoring the game to the system.

My biggest complaint with this game was never knowing what my character was going to say when choosing any of the options from the screen, thus often screwing things up. Though I am also really bad at recognising when someone is lying or telling the truth. But will still buy it again.

It's a nice idea if you live in a fantasy world where A. jobs are easy to find and B. people don't live from paycheck to paycheck, but this is the real world.

But beyond that, I just brought up something someone said about...6 years ago. So, just so you know, you have basically made it so you can never complain about your work online. Basically...ever. Hope you like your completely secure job, gcunit-chan : 3

In fairness, you can look for another job while remaining employed at your current employer. Even if it took months, there are always other jobs out there if you're looking.

Well true, but there's no reason to assume they wouldn't or didn't.

My go to example of what angers me about entertainment companies is when they do something like this and it's so clearly NOT a good idea in terms of making a good product. Not only was your management so abysmal that a Rockstar IP is forever associated with it, but it almost certainly had the opposite effect. Tbh, considering that and the crazy tech used for a 2011 video game, it's almost surprising the game was any good in the first place.

Yeah. I don't blame people if they do or don't. It's a good game, and some people like it way more than I did.

Well it's clearly not a 'slave labour' situation if you are grateful for any job you can get. If your employer tells you you have to do some extra hours for no extra money you have two choices: you either say "No" and take the consequences, or you say "Well, I really need this job, so OK".

Either you're grateful for your job or you're not. So get on with it, or leave it. Simples.

Either way, it's not slave labour. Those people were not physically forced to do that work against their will. To try and conjure up negative attitudes towards this game by throwing around the phrase 'slave labour' only highlights that user for what they are.

$10 more on the Switch? PS4 is probably 60fps with 4K upgrade on the Pro. Nintendo prices are stupid.......

Switch will be 30fps at 1080p docked.

I don't disagree they're stupid. But it's also pocket change on a select few games. Nothing worth getting too riled up over.

And I'm sure the Pro will be 4k. But that's not gonna make me spend my money on that system, or the Xbox. I'd rather get the exact same game on the TV and handheld, and switch between at will. 4k is nice, but getting 2 versions of a game in one is even nicer, I think.
