From what I can tell, it's much more faster paced than Monster Hunter. I do like the longer hunts in MH, but at the same time I do like how I don't have to take 40 minutes dealing with a single quest. lol

Anyways been giving this game a long break, I kinda want to get back into it again. How much content is there after the main story? Is there a second final boss or something like what MH likes to do? lol

It takes some time, just gotta learn the movesets for weapons and figure out which move is powered up via that Burst stuff. As for Burst, you activate it by Devouring live enemies.

Well, 2.00 is out now, so I think I will make a fresh start in this game since I didn't progress very far in my last run. Hopefully I can get my head wrapped around everything now. PLUS with the added content and upcoming 2.10 content...seems pretty much some extended end game once I reach that point.

All I can say is to try it, it's shorter than the MH games, and also faster paced, basically the battles won't last as long and all that. Also, bewbs...plenty of bewbs. lol

There's a demo if you wanna have a taste or something.

With my time playing MHR winding down, I'm still craving that hunter-esq grind. I've tried multiple times to get into MHGU. It...just doesn't click; the quality-of-life improvements in World and Rise have spoiled me. Then I remember GE3 being arguably the best hunter clone.

So here I am.

I only played a few hours years ago. But now I'm ready to buckle in. And for as much as Rise is the most arcade-fast iteration of the MH series. GE is even more arcade-like. I might have to show GE to my friends who thought MHR combat was still too slow and deliberate.

After playing for about 30 hours the main downside to this game has been monster variety. You're fighting the same ten or so monsters over and over again. This is a non-issue in Monster Hunter because for a twenty year old series they have a pool of over 100 monsters to pull from. Same move sets for different skins, but whatever, it's different enough.

I'm less eager to get back into a hunt here in GE.

But at least the gear progression in GE is less convoluted than in MH.
