What happened to The Darkside Detective by Isomteric Dreams and Spooky Doorway?
I was just reading about this cool point & click adventure game and wanted to download it.
I've seen it released 7th February 2018 for 12,99€.
But now the game is gone from the European eShop.
Does anybody know what happened? When is it coming back?
@SKTTR I found a statement from the developers on their Twitter page:
"Unfortunately the Darkside Detective for Switch had to be taken down from the Europe/Australian eShop for a few days because Nintendo made some changes to their age rating system.
It should be available again very soon. We're really sorry for the inconvenience."
This was posted on March 3rd 2018. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the information. I'm glad it will be back. Weird that this is the only game influenced by the changes to the age rating system. At least it's the only one I have found.
Anyone else notice that Manticore: Galaxy on Fire was pulled from the coming soon section of the eShop? I've been keeping an eye on it ever since NL ran an article about it last month and one of the devs started chatting with us in the comment section.
It was supposed to release tomorrow and now it says, "Release Date: TBD". I wonder what happened? Seems odd for the game to get pulled mere hours before it was supposed to go live. Also, this was a game that you could pre-purchase so I wonder what that means for people who already bought and downloaded it.
“Deep Silver is sorry to inform you that the release of Manticore: Galaxy on Fire on the Nintendo eShop has been delayed. Right now, we’re working hard to bring the best-possible sci-fi gaming experience to your Nintendo Switch,” the publisher wrote in an update.
“We will be updating you with more details as well as the new release date in the coming days. If you pre-ordered the game, please note that your purchase is still valid and you will be able to access the game as soon as it’s released. Thanks for your continued patience and support.”
Two eShop F2P online games were taken off the Switch eShop. Dawn of the Breakers and Get Amped Mobile servers are not longer available. Both games developed by CyberStep can't be downloaded or played beyond their title screens anymore.
The "Project Octopath Traveler" download is also long gone, and not re-downloadable.
@SKTTR don't know about the other two but "project octopath traveler" was and early demo for gamer's feedback for the game that released as "octopath traveler"
Yep, I'm just saying that specific releases are not longer available.
"Octopath Traveler" the game is still available,
the "Octopath Traveler - Prologue Demo" is still available,
but "Project Octopath Traveler" is one that you can't re-download.
So don't delete or archive it if you want to keep it.
I have these 4 downloaded:
Splatoon 2 - Global Testfire (408MB)
Splatoon 2 - Special Demo (3,6GB)
Splatoon 2 - Special Demo 2020 (4,0GB)
Splatoon 2 - Splatfest World Premiere (1,4GB)
I keep them because they might have exclusive music tracks in their still functional title and loading screens.
