Topic: Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

I think more people were expecting a mainline Fire Emblem remake announced today but we got this, which I'm not disappointed about. I enjoyed both Fire Emblem Warriors and Fire Emblem Three Houses, and I think this will be a better story than the first Fire Emblem Warriors.

One thing I really hope for is more variety in movesets when multiple characters use the same weapon type. Too many characters in the first Fire Emblem Warriors were carbon copies of each other. Variety is really nice to have in a Warriors game.

I suppose they're treating this as the Age of Calamity of Fire Emblem Warriors, complementing the canon storyline of Three Houses, instead of being a typical fan-service crossover.

I'm going to have fun with this!

I'm a fan of Warriors games and Fire Emblem Three Houses is up there with Odyssey as one of my favourite Switch games, so this is an easy day 1 purchase for me.

I'm curious how it fits in with the main game. Is this a different story in the same timeline, or is it an alternate version of the same story? The footage seemed to hint at the latter to me (especially since it doesn't seem like there's much room for the former in the main game's story!)

I haven't played Three Houses, but I seem to recall the game has a time skip?

I am kinda burnt out on Warriors game, I don’t like the idea of spending another 200+ hours to unlock everything. Still this could tempt me but it will really depend on my mood at the time rather than the game itself.

That said, they'll need an explanation for why Byleth is around if it does take place during the time skip.

This is what I was hoping for. Not disappointed in the last. Three Houses' amazing cast will make for a solid musou. Especially if it's more story-driven like AoC was.

I enjoyed the first game.

No doubt I'll grab a copy of this eventually since musou games are my jam.

Seeing as we didn't see any of the main protagonists fighting against each other in the trailer, I'm hoping that we're finally getting that best-of-all-worlds storyline where they end up on the same side.

Considering I have a ton of fun playing hyrule warriors legends and age of calamity I bet I would enjoy fire emblem warriors. Also does anyone else want Kirby star warriors? (My hypothetical name for a Kirby musou game)

Personally this was on my wishlist. I'd been hoping we'd get another FE warriors but to pull a AOC and focus on 3H in particular...yep, thank you K-T I will be there day one with bells on.

I'll grab this. Maybe not day one, but it'll be in my library at some point.

Pretty much my thought but I am wondering if it is an alternate timeline as well that doesn’t have the events that lead to the time skip as there is a point where Byleth tries to change something but can’t. What if her powers overloaded and she could make that change? I feel like plans of certain people would have to change asap. Especially since it looks like normal Byleth and not ascended Byleth in the trailers.

The eshop listing says this:

From this it seems the monastery gameplay between missions is back.

I need a musou game for Mario, Kirby, and Metroid, Damn, a man can dream, and dream I shall.

@Grumblevolcano that’s fair. These companion musou games try to pull some hub aspect of their source material to tie the stages together. The map in AoC and with the monastery being so important it makes sense to make it the hub for this game.

Yawn, another Warrior-title, another Fire emblem one, this time focused solely on Three houses. I haven't even played the first Fire emblem Warrior title, nor have I finished Three houses. This will be skipped for now. Maybe next year.

@Henmii Not to be rude at all. But you say that like they have made like four of these, they only made two FE musou games.

I didn't say that, but it is the second Fire emblem Warrior game. And besides, there are already 2 Zelda Warrior games on Switch and of course a couple of Dynasty Warrior games. I loved the Zelda ones (played the first one on Wii u), but in the end they are all repetitive grind-fests. By now everyone must have its fill (I know, on other consoles Koei-Tecmo also released tons of these kind of games)?
