@Slowdive We'll see. I've been in sales & marketing myself for almost 20 years now, and I can smell BS from miles away, and seeing as there is simply no way that anyone can produce any ACTUAL proof, there is no reason to firmly believe anything.
I think you'll find more like minded people on www.n1ntendo.nl than over here, because most of the more long time members like myself like actual proof, and hearsay, contrary to popular belief, is not proof.
P.S.
Bloomberg is primarily a financials specialist. It's actually their core business to provide software and services like enterprise level analytics, data services and related info to financial companies and organizations. Any info gleaned from that based on the spendings of video gaming manufacturers is mostly based on (sales/purchasing) projections and indirect gatherings of information, which can then be combined to come to possible conclusions, but which will definitely offer no certainties.
And no offense, but the fact that you think you know better, is kind of laughable. If you want to make your point, at least make sure you've got all your info straight, otherwise it'll just remain average consumer level wishful thinking.
Mind you: that doesn't mean that I'm completely ruling things out, this is Nintendo, after all, but until they say it's coming, it's not coming, period. If anything, and if I would HAVE to choose/pick a date, any possible new revision will come at the end of their next financial year, or next financial quarter, which is in the last quarter of this year, in which case it might become a year end holiday release.
P.S.
There's add-ons for browsers to remedy those age restriced/no access videos. I don't know which browser you're using, but there's several. On Firefox, there's "F*** YouTube", "Ageless", "ProxTube" and a couple of others. I would assume that Chrome has several as well.

So basically you're not qualified to talk on the subject to then? No offence but, sales is literally trying to spin the work of others. If we want an opinion on whether a trailer is effective or not you're the guy. But you're not the guy for judging the plausibility of supposed new hardware.
Also the last leak was for a new 2D Metroid this year and a Switch Pro announcement soon. Half of that is now confirmed beyond any doubt in a direct.
I still think E3 is needed, and you can say that this year killed it, but E3 is the only place to get real gaming news, what you going to get hyped for Thin Air? Bc thats what the world would be without E3.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

Sorry for not being active much recently, but I’m very much alive!
In any case it seems strange that a few people have now popped into this thread and their only reaction to the Direct was to mention the lack of a Pro rather than their thoughts of the games announced. There’s the miserable Pro rumour thread if folk are that eager to discuss it.
You're right, Nintendo even said this was a software presentation, there should have been no expectation of anything being said about the Pro.
Plus this was a really good direct!
A good mix of games, there were 4 or 5 announcements I'm interested in excluding BOTW2, Mario Golf and Skyward Sword I have no interest in SMT5, Smash, Monster Hunter or Guardians, so surely there must have been a few things for most people!!
There's definitely a few people jumping the gun dismissing the idea of the Pro after the direct. But anyways, the direct was about what I expected. A couple of more meaty surprises would've been nice but you can't have that every year.
BotW 2 looks fantastic, that was probably the meatiest thing. Tekken in Smash was also nice. Metroid was solid. But the rest of it, while nice, was very b-tier in terms of scale.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
@WoomyNNYes Highly unlikely we'll see Wind Waker HD in September. During the direct they confirmed Skyward Sword HD would be the sole LoZ Switch title to release during LoZ's 35th anniversary. If that is real, it's not coming until Q2 2022 or later.
