@chriiiiiiiiiis You've made me curious, what would you think Nintendo would do if they made everything to sell the most?

Casual gamers (touch generation) prefer motion controls to gamepads. Its the only reason Wii outsold PS3/Xbox360. One of the reasons Wii U was a major flop is cause it "abandoned" motion controls and didn't have something as catchy as Wii U sports

@UmniKnight haha that is such a hard question I definitely don't have the answer to!!! I personally have little to no problem with how Nintendo handle themselves as a company so I can't say what exactly would make them sell more but I think lots of Nintendo fans and general gaming fans have also been let down over the years by Nintendo because they believe Nintendo is somehow doing things wrong. Either way, I don't think Nintendo care solely about money because they have been a lot slower to take on some of the more money greedy ideas in gaming like endless paid DLC and yearly installments of their games (well maybe they do do that though), but probably if they cared less about the quality of their games, they would make more sales.

I like Nintendo because they are pretty adamant about making games full of new experiences and innovation for their own consoles only. They also gamble on different concepts to become selling points of games and rely on gameplay as opposed to story or graphics to sell games. I don't know how it affects their sales but lots of people who play games don't want those things. Nintendo make what they think will sell, not what the community around them demand. I don't think anyone asked for WiiFit but the concept was amazing and it worked. But then, no one really asked for Star Fox Zero and it didn't sell well at all so there is that too.

@chriiiiiiiiiis Well, they make mistakes of course, but in some things they should really consider what the customer wants, like their online for example

I like Nintendo and how they make their games, the emphasis on gameplay above graphics as well, but I do hope they'll be able to secure third-parties well enough. Great third-party + Nintendo, who wouldn't want that?
