There are 70 character levels, followed by Paragon levels which give you additional stat boosts post-70. Equipment drops continue to improve all the way up to Torment XIII.
Thanks but this is all foreign to me lol.
I also agree 100% with your other comment, don't need to even see thise posts here.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Question though- what difficulty to play on? I hear the game is really easy now, and I don't want it to be so easy I lose interest.
Keep in mind that you can change the difficulty pretty much any time you want without needing to start a new save, so there's really no need to think too hard about it in advance. It's been a couple of years since I played it so I don't remember details, but I know tended to use different difficulties for different characters, and even for the same character at different times, just to fine tune the difficulty to keep it engaging but not overly frustrating. I might be having fun at one difficulty, and then get some big gear upgrade and suddenly find the game too easy, so I'd increase the difficulty.
In Diablo 3, you’re looking for a sweet spot: a balance between difficulty and efficiency.
In other words, you might be able to survive Torment II with your current gear, but if it takes you 10 minutes and two deaths to clear a cave, it’s just not worth it. You’re better off dropping down to Torment I and clearing it in half the time. And then adjusting it as you gear up.
So, you wanna crank up the difficulty to the highest you can handle, while still running smoothly and efficiently. Does that make sense? You’ll see what I mean when you play.
Not bragging about your Paragon level. Bragging about the fact that you modded your Switch, and posting screenshots of D3 on the Switch prior to the release date.
And Nintendo doesn’t just ban individual consoles - they ban accounts.
I don’t think I’m better than anyone. I think modders are idiots who screw things up for the rest of us, and ruin games with their hacks. That includes you.
Quiet boy. You clearly do not know what bragging is.
I have given good replies about the game and you cant get passed the fact I modded my switch. Move along
Yep you can change difficulty any time. Is leave it at default until you get your sea legs, definitely. Your an mh and souls fan so you may ramp it up mid way, but maybe wait until the desert to sort things out.
@Lethal It's not the modding we have a problem with it's the stealing of the game and according to the rules on this site is against them to talk about.

Boy? Lol. Listen dude, you don’t have to like me. I sure as hell don’t like you. But I will say what I want, for as long as I want. I’ll do it to your face if you wanna do some traveling. I have a feeling you’d change your tone real quick.
I don’t like modders and I don’t like stupid people. You’re obviously both, since you bragged about modding in a public forum, while displaying your account info in your sig.
Your best bet at saving face is to refrain from speaking to me.
Absolutely. That and the cheating. Hacks ruin great games. And this genius obviously went online with the modded Switch - otherwise how did he pick up a ban?
Sounds like it can be changed at any time so, no worries then. Some games you're stuck with the difficulty you choose for that save file until all eternity. So I always find it better to ask, just in case

@JaxonH@Spoony_Tech and other new D3 players, feel free to send me a friend invite for co-op or shoot me a message if you have additional questions when the game releases. Code is in the sig.
@BrainOfGrimlock edit: i checked my x1 copy and you do still need to finish the campaign for adventure and a solo greater rift for challenge rifts. I imagine switch is the same. Seasons are unlocked at the start though.
@NEStalgia I remember it being the case on the XBone but was hoping they’d maybe have removed the restriction for the Switch. Cack. Ah well, even if it’s the same it’s not world ending I guess I know not to be as pedantically obsessive with every nook/corner of the map armed with the knowledge of what comes after!
As a matter of fact, the Switch is the first D3 platform that does -not- require a campaign playthrough in order to unlock Adventure mode. It’s available from the start, and is unquestionably a much faster way to level and gear up.
I’m sure I’ll still play through the campaign eventually for the in-game achievements, but as someone who has ran the campaign countless times, this is a very welcome change. 😁
@Ryzaerian ah that’s great news, thanks! Was hoping they’d see sense and appreciate a lot of people buying it may have played it before!
Interestingly - not that we’ll ever know for sure - I wonder what the ratio buying on switch will be of new:existing players? I know there’s a few in the this thread who’ll be playing for the first time but an awful lot are double/triple/quadruple dippers now...
Now I think of it, there surely can’t be many games that fall into that category (that aren’t retro/snes/genesis/n64/psx/etc type games)?
Boooo! Just hit midnight here so thought I’d have a cheeky blast on this before watching the Direct! Seems that we are forever destined to be the poor relation when it comes to gaming - no midnight releases and Directs in the middle of the night - Booooo! ;(
@Ryzaerian not for me - already the 2nd here now - we’re in the future here in Australia. Kinda!
It’s fine, obviously I can wait having played before, just thought i’d have a cheeky little play whilst waiting for the direct (which is at 1am local time for me!)
Ha - you edited! It’s all good, we’ll both be slaying demons by the hundred all too soon!
@Ryzaerian Ahh, that is cool then! I didn't realize the Ultimate edition was going to be a different Ultimate edition on Switch, I figured it would have feature parity with the latest patch on other consoles including the campaign lock. Unless other platforms get a patch soon as well that changes it, which is possible.
Lets talk about 'dat icon though..... A teal Windows desktop icon on a white tile? C'mon Blizzard, XBox and Playstation get the awesome box art in the icon!
I imagine most buyers are repeat buyers. There's that list of Switch owners that never played PC games in the 1996-2002 heyday and never really got into Diablo, and also never played it on PS4, but I imagine most of the people excited are those that were Diablo fans in the heyday I'll forever be partial to 2, but 3 has really come such a long way. I fired it up on X1 and created a new necro just to get back into the mood for it, and it's still fun. Still too colorful But still fun And I'll admit the desert is even better than Lut Gholein. I miss Kurast though
I'm impressed that Victor Vran manages to be great too....jumping and platforming sets it apart from Diablo enough to make it stand on its own.

Release times are generally based on where the publisher is located. In this case, Blizzard is located in Irvine, California, so you still have almost 15-hours before the game is actually released.
I have to go through something similar even in the US, because I'm on Eastern Standard Time which is 3-hours ahead, so a midnight PST release is 3AM for me. Regardless, I'm buying a physical copy tomorrow, so it's a moot point.
