For me this is a core feature and it simply does not work, but more importantly when invert Y-axis and Gyro Aiming are selected I believe that this does not work for anyone. This is not a feature or a customization it is a broken mechanic. Now if you can find me a single person who actually wants this to happen and likes having the motion controls inverted then perhaps I am wrong but i dont believe so.
Inverting the gyro when a user inverts the y axis is nonsensical and obviously a technical oversight.
Although, I'm going to be that guy... just play without gyro then or don't invert the y axis. I understand it can take a while to get used to and is frustrating, but surely it you'll be used to it within an hour of playing? In the mean time, I think people should approach the developers and hopefully they will patch it.
@Reprise I hear what you're saying but I also believe that we need to be vocal about these problems and that they should be addressed because it's just sloppy and bad practice to not check things before the game goes out and if we just accept it it'll just keep happening.
This might be a stupid question but besides being very pretty to look at what makes Crysis special? I don’t mean that in dig way, it just looked like another shooter from a time when there were too many shooters.
@Reprise
I tried playing Splatoon style, using the analog for turning and gyro for up and down movement, but the gyro is not sensitive enough to do this. It is seriously set for only tiny adjustments when aiming.

Full disclosure, I don't have this on Switch but I did play through it on my PC back in the day, but honestly Crysis was not really a series known for much more than its graphics. The Crysis games were always used for PC hardware benchmarking, but as far as gameplay went, they were always regarded as solid but not fantastic shooters.
So I just discovered that the 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ controller I own allows you to invert the Y axis in its software package so problem solved (though it's still annoying I have to hook it up to my PC to make the change and again to switch it back). This controller is great. Best controller on the Switch.

That was always my impression. Crysis was essentially "bragging rights" for PC gamers because it pushed PC hardware to its limits in a way that consoles at the time couldn't even come close to. So from a technological standpoint, it pushed the envelope further than any game before it. But in terms of gameplay, it didn't really do anything extraordinary. I think the main draw here is simply seeing a game of this caliber running on a handheld device.
Well I guess I am eating my words, they actually Fixed the gyro inversion issue with the latest update, I have to tip my hat to them. Im not crazy about the feel of the controls but it is a least playable now.
