So this is apparently a thing.

If they sell this for a decent price, I'll definitely be picking it up. These guys are graphics nutters, so I imagine they'll put a lot of work into making it look good.

It's a good, solid game. It controls very well and there's strong level design. Despite its reputation as something of a tech demo when it came out, the gameplay holds its ground.

Should be interesting to see how well the developers manage to get Crysis to run on Switch.

Crysis is still a gnarly benchmark game on PC.

They pioneered quite a lot of modern graphical techniques with the original. I think it was the first game that ever had real-time ambient occlusion.

It's revealed officially now.

I'm excited, I just bought Crysis on PC a few weeks ago on GOG too. So far, I'm loving it.

Crysis is a very demanding game. I don’t think I ever had a computer than was good enough to run it. It would be interesting to see how it would work on a Switch or Switch Lite.

To bring back this old meme, the Switch can in fact, run Crysis.

I mean, it was a very demanding game back in the day. I'm no PC guy, but I'm pretty confident that its not difficult to get something to run Crysis in 2020.

My DIY built PC in 2009 was decidedly mid-range, cost me about £550-600 for everything bar the monitor, and that could run Crysis fine.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

Crysis Remastered on Switch has GYRO AIMING!

Not only do other platforms have to wait until after the Switch version releases on July 23rd (in a strange twist of irony), Switch version actually has hybrid portability AND gyro aiming! It looks great, and comes in at just 6.2 GB.

That is actually really good. If you're gonna port Crysis to a console with motion controls, it better actually have motion controls if you want to attempt to actually have it compare to the PC version.

Exactly.

This game would be DOA without gyro. But with it... now people have reason to pick it up.

Oh is the Switch version not delayed? Sweet.

It shows what the Switch is really capable of when care and attention is put into optimization.

I am expecting $59.99 standard and maybe $89.99 for LE, CE if this happens.

Does this game allow you to invert the Y axis on the right stick but keep it normal for gyro?

I am sick and tired of this $#!+ Has anyone ever actually wanted the gyro aiming to be inverted when they invert the y-axis for the stick! The GD game inverts the gyro when you invert the y-axis, this is so damn aggravating and a bunch of games do it and at this point I genuinely want to know if anyone actually wants this to happen because it makes it unplayable for me.

Exactly. I just picked up Call of Juarez during the sale but only played 5 minutes of it because they made the same mistake. That mistake made me do some research on Crysis Remastered and I'm so glad I did because I would not have been happy if I had spent money on the game only to find out how gimped the controls are.

I consider this a broken game. This is a straight up broken component.

@thugpipe How so? Most of the feedback seems to be positive to how it runs on the Switch.
