Can our switch run game like RE2 remake? I think the graphic seems stunning but not by much compared to RE Rev2. Hopefully switch can get late port of this game
I wouldn't hold your breath mate. Capcom is making easy money on Switch. I just don't see them bothering with Res Evil 2, 7 or Monster Hunter World, Devil May Cry 5 or anything this gen.
It probably could run it in theory with a bit of tweaking, but I doubt Capcom would go to the effort of sufficiently downgrading it enough to run on the Switch unfortunately.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
Oh how unfortunate considering RE Rev 1&2 sold quiet well. I do hope our switch next hardware upgrade can run game like this with no problem. It's sad for RE fans like me that I can't get this game on my favorite console (we can play it anywhere).
@DB-S_RE Personally i don't see the game coming to the Switch - while I'm sure the game could be ported without too make difficulty, this would require Capcom to invest the time & money to do so... something they rarely bother doing. It's a shame as well considering the Gamecube was the first console to receive the Resident Evil 1 remake (if I remember it correctly).

Considering most of the original game takes place in tight, enclosed areas, I don't see how it couldnt. Of course it wouldn't look as flashy as the PS4 version, I bet it could still run. But yeah, whether or not Capcom would do it is the question. Resident Evil Revelations collection sold best on Switch, so they really should give us some more RE love.
The added cost of 27GB of microSD storage (40GB for both games combined) is a pretty crappy value proposition and would have put off a lot of people.
I'd rather Capcom released them both as separate standard-priced retail releases. Instead, they opt for a budget release where the overall cost to the consumer is still equal to that of a AAA game because the storage is coming out of our microSD cards, which ultimately equates to AAA pricing without the benefit of being able to use the game on multiple systems, save space on internal storage etc.
I am considering spending my gold coins on Revelations 2 it if I accumulate enough of them as I do not intend to spend a cent on this considering how awful Capcom have been of late. If I end up downloading it, then I will consider importing the standalone Japanese edition of Revelations 1, known as the Unveiled Edition.
My 200GB microSD card is already at 50% capacity, and most of my storage has been consumed by demos and software patches. Revelations 2 will easily consume another 15% of that. That is absolutely ridiculous.
I've surrendered to temptation and bought Resident Evil Revelations 2 by redeeming most of my gold coins. Looking at 25+ hours to download. SMH. I regret buying it already. =P I suppose if I get desperate, I'll back up the file(s) to a Blu-ray disc as I am now down to 80GB of free space (of a "200GB" card, which in reality is only 183GB, due to scumbag marketing practices that somehow allow them to get away with this).
This better be worth 30+ retail games worth of Gold Coins and 15% of my microSD card space or heads are gonna roll. Not being given the option to buy this outright on a 32GB cartridge makes this feel like a colossal rip-off no matter how I look at it.
Porygon did nothing wrong.

Resi 2 is my favourite of the series (6 being a very close second) so I would love to see this happen. A Switch version would be perfect for me as can't play games like this on the TV due to having two young children.
@VindictiveCrow
Switch have Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2.
And the (in Japan), the RE 7 too, even it being by cloud.
Probably more games of the series will be caming.
It's not as simple, the big-capacity cartridges sold by Nintendo are overpriced and that's why third-party can't always use them. Besides, developing a port for a very different platform (Switch) is a challenge. Of course it is technically possible with sacrifices but it takes a long time and thus money, and every developer has to make their minds about each release. Will it sell well like a Nintendo game on a Nintendo platform? How much should it cost and how many units do we need to sell? The Resident Evil Revelations Collection has sold 0.13 million units on Switch while the original game sold 0.89 million on 3DS.
They could release a cloud version like Resident Evil 7 in Japan and stream the game, too.
This is the list of the games that sell well on Nintendo (spoiler, they all are Nintendo's):
As a rule, the answer is ALWAYS "yes." Just with sacrifices. And those sacrifices vary on the dev's skill and time allowed to tinker with the code.
An interesting youtube channel for those who still don't seem to believe that pretty much anything can run on any modern hardware, no matter how lower spec (which Switch certainly is): lowspecgamer
Yes, some of his videos use mods available to the PC world, but it shows how surface-level tinkering with settings can produce results. Imagine a dev given enough time and funding by a publisher: ANYTHING is possible.
Storage is another issue lol
My thoughts on that is: if it's a big enough game that Nintendo really wants on Switch, Nintendo should eat the cost of the larger carts and do it for the publisher. Just my opinion.
