Aside from his "Let's wait for facts" nonsense, I give him partial credit. But the fact he's turning the table to portray himself as a victim and thus now "refuses to buy the game because of the toxic Bayo community" just comes across as saving face. I don't doubt he got some nasty comments. We all know the internet. But it's like, for one, you're holding a game accountable for the actions of a few internet trolls? And for two, think about all the nasty comments you enabled toward Jennifer Hale and Hideki Kamiya by jumping the gun.

Btw, turns out Kamiya was telling the truth the whole time. Nobody wanted to listen though.

It is funny seeing so many people all back pedalling at once, trying to shift the narrative to say it was always about fair pay for all and never about anything else. Like firstly, it definitely wasn't, but whatever, that is a good cause, for sure, but HT is not the poster child for this.

Amazon Workers in their crying booths, pissing their pants at the conveyor belt their best friend just died in because toilet breaks are banned, could only dream of being paid 4k for 20 hours of work, let alone 15k for the same amount of time.

People using arguments like 'well Bayonetta makes x profit or people in x profession get paid x wage', like the ***** does that even matter? This is a problem in the whole corporate led world, so excuse me if I don't shed any tears for HT as I wonder how I'm gonna pay my energy bills this winter.

The woman thought she was voicing a GTA protagonist. Crazy stuff. Her career is over.

Man I don't even know what the hell is going on any more. I know I'm the AA guy on here but genuinely: this s*** has played out like an AA case I swear.

With someone as reputable as Jason Schreier claiming he reviewed evidence that basically proves Taylor lied, I think it is quite clear what the truth is. It is sad that so many content creators jumped on the bandwagon of hate without doing any critical thinking. It is hard for people to admit they were wrong as well, so the damage is done on a few people's minds.

I hope Taylor does not get a lot of hate though. She did do many mistakes, I guess because she is struggling for work she tried to fix all her life's problems with one gig, but sadly that is not how the real world works. My first comment when I saw the videos was about how in the 4th video (Jesus quote) she sounded like a person with mental health issues, I don't think a wave of hate will make it any better.

The damage for her is done anyway. No one will ever employee her again in this industry.

All I care about now is how much the preorders will increase.

My issue day one was the lack of professionalism on HT’s part and this new info has not changed that. So I’m done. I feel bad that they had to even disclose this. Personally I’m don’t want people knowing what I make/am worth. But HT threw down the gauntlet. I feel like she didn’t follow video games very well and just assumed that platinum has full range access to Nintendo funding (I am willing to bet how ever she came up with the number she thought the series made was why she thought she could pitch that high). I’ve priced myself out of a job before so I get it. But you never start at your highest bid unless there are some cray cray requirements. She just should have moved on rather than lashing out.

So what moon based song do you think will be in this game?

Man am I glad I made my point by starting with this!

I mean tbh, larger discussions about the on average underpayment of VAs while Platinum walks away with more people focused on its new game and a decent reputation in tact is the best possible scenario from this. But I was surprised enough by this turn that I'm not gonna make definitive statements about this one scenario. I saw a great line about this once that just goes "I hope the person that did a bad thing is punished for it", and that is ultimately my stance on things, because who knows what we'll find out in the next few days.

For the record this is the 2nd time I was concerned about Platinum's future after the abrupt end of a game they spent way too much time on only for a perfect storm of attention on a long awaited sequel to inexplicably happen.

I wouldn't necessarily say that Platinum's reputation is fully intact. They've still got Babylon's Fall to live down and Kamiya should have stayed out of this until the objective facts surfaced. Still, at least B3 stands a chance of being judged on its own merits rather than with a cloud hanging over it.

While getting a six figure sum for a game like Bayonetta is off in la-la land, I still believe that VAs deserve to be a stakeholder in their work. However, why stop there? The programmers, graphic artists, and everyone else who plays a big part in making the game should too.

If you think that comes across as a tad idealistic, I could point to some indie studios that actually work like that. Supergiant (Hades, Bastion, Transistor) and Thunder Lotus (Spiritfarer, Sundered, Jotun) are a couple of examples, who incidentally also make great games.

@Eagly The games are almost a perfect action hack and slash with lots of fun set pieces and bosses. It's not just for hardest of hardcore players as novices can button bash to progress but soon you will figure out the combos and tricks to really enjoy yourself.

What may be off putting for some is the game feels like a cheesy b-movie, lots of (intentionally) bad one liners and swearing plus a few people may take issue with the sexy witch fighting angles antics.

Omg if it turns out she lied it’s really all over for her. And if she lied, All I can say is, wow, wow.

So, who's excited for playing the actual game then?

This all just makes me mad tbh, use your name, you fans, to boycott a video game series they love, and why would they do it? Because they love you, but instead you would use that, for personal gain, goodness, And she had to nerve to say the va couldn’t play bayo and to boycott her game to, like come on! And this doesn’t even surprise me!

If this damages her career, I do hope the best for her going forward cause I don’t want anyone out of a job, but man I wouldn’t miss her, And she had it coming pulling a stunt like this.

(that’s if it’s true, but we have so multiple sources saying this so, I doubt it isn’t know, honestly would love to be proven wrong.)

If you like Nier Automata, imagine combat similar to that but 10x better. Way more responsive, infinitely more combos and combo paths, and a pure adrenaline rush of high octane action that puts you "in the zone" of pure bliss.

When my brother first told me about Bayonetta, it was before Bayo2 releases. He was raving about how good it is and how hyped he was. I was reluctant to try it but, with so few games releasing on the Wii U, I decided to give it a go.

That's when everything changed for me.

It was like crack on a disc. I couldn't put it down. The combat was so incredibly smooth and fluid, the movement so fast, using perfect dodges to activate witch time and go in hard...

I've never experienced another game since that has been able to replicate that feeling I got from Bayonetta 2. Not even other Platinum games like Wonderful 101, Astral Chain or Nier Automata (don't get me wrong, I LOVE those games, but there's just no substitute for the real Mccoy).

What makes it particularly addicting is the rankings and medals you get through each section of a chapter, as you're rated stone, bronze, silver, gold, platinum or pure platinum based on time, score and damage received. It's not an integral part of progression or anything, but it does incentivize you to play your best. That rush you get from a pure platinum is second to none.

It's got a crazy story, gorgeous graphics and lovable characters, too.
