Kinect controls??? I'm disabled (wheelchair user), so that makes the game unplayable for me. Thanks Microsoft, if it's only playable this way and that's the rumoured BK game then I won't be buying an XBone (which was my plan if the rumours turned out to be true).
Rimmer: "Look, I think we've all got something to bring to this conversation, but I think that from now on the thing you should bring is silence."
Homer: "Oh people can come up with statistics to prove anything Kent. Forfty percent of all people know that."
I actually hope "Project Ukelele" has some gameplay elements from "Donkey Kong 64" (six playable characters). If they release this physically, imagine a "NINTENDO 64"-esque boxart...
I'd rather they stick to Banjo-Tooie's "you can use certain characters for certain situations" thing. Better than having to play 6 different sections...or the same section six times...
To be honest, I never did play the games so I don't know what you're talking about. I listed DK64 as that's the only Banjo-Kazooie-esque game I played. I'm not counter-arguing your fact, but I'm stating why I put that down.
In Bano-Tooie, there'd be certain instances when you could play as different characters (usually Mumbo). Every level had one section like that, and it wasn't to the degree DK64 took it, where you were constantly switching characters all the time. It was usually a quick, one-and-done sorta thing. I wouldn't mind them expanding on that, just so long as it doesn't detract from the main character(s).

I agree. That was really annoying and tedious in DK 64 and it didn't add anything. I like how Banjo Kazooie handled alternate characters better. In fact, I like how Banjo Kazooie handled everything better for that matter, I didn't like much of what DK 64 did.
The key thing to remember regarding the people who are currently working under the Rare name brand are what they have worked on after Nuts & Bolts in 2008. The answer is only Kinect games so it's really clear that whatever future stuff they do will be also Kinect related. Playtonic Games are clearly the true Rare we all know and love, sure our chances of most of Rare's N64 classics released on the eshop are extremely low but at least we'll have some great new experiences (assuming Wii U versions happen).
I'm worried if this will end up like Sonic Boom. Ex naughty dog employees couldn't do a great job over Sonic so how does ex Rare employees give the confidence that they are promising?
