@GameOtaku How are you liking it? I got paid for working on a neighbor’s tractor earlier and snagged this. I’m enjoying it, other than seemingly being stalked by Dilophosaurs. Got my two Dodos following me while I stockpile things.

I'm still learning the ins and outs of the game, was killed by a spitter earlier and was freezing to death. A manual would have helped to figure out the crafting system. (Ex made a campfire but for the life of me could not figure out how to light it, I mean I made a torch, it was on fire, I strike the campfire with said torch and nothing. Was told it needed fuel like thatch or cloth, so I did what was logical and dropped one thatch on the campfire then I tried hitting it again with a LIT torch. Still nothing! Am I missing something obvious here? Why is logic failing me?!)

@GameOtaku For campfires (and many others later), you access the campfire’s inventory and add thatch/wood/spark powder before you can light it. If you want to cook raw meat, put that in the inventory too and light the fire to cook.
There’s loads of other craftables that work this way, so imagine them like a car or washer. Can’t use ‘em right till you put the fuel or soap IN them.
I think I saw an option at the main menu that teaches some things, too. Or just @ me, me friends and I went hardcore on the game on X1 so hopefully I can answer most questions 😂

Thanks for the tip I'll try it out as soon as I can. A crafting system line this is what I believe BOTW was missing. You had bundles of wood or branches as well as various stones with supposed elemental qualities so making arrows would seem to be a logical step. (Afterall where did the merchants get the arrows?)

@GameOtaku No worries. Since you’re ‘half-full’ like me, I think you’ll really enjoy it. You’ll find that the crafting builds on itself in a pretty sensible way. I’m lvl 21 now, trying to get metal tools soon.
Just be wary of carnos. And dragonflies. And piranhas. In fact, treat it like BotW and you just left Great Plateau haha
