@Cosmofantasmo,

Did you pop over before?, as I did not recognize your name, and for some reason could not send you a best friend request.

@johnvboy
Thanks for the Coconut Juices and visiting my island. 😀
I will keep the date between 6 and 7 July 2020 to keep farming Celeste DIY recipes and Gullivarrr pirate stuffs.
Before visiting my island, let me know if you want to visit and i will prepare the date 6 July 2020 at 8 pm again to get another Celeste DIY recipe.

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

@johnvboy

Yeah, that was me. Sorry I forgot I use my real name in game 😬
That explains your reluctant reaction. 😉
Still wondering if you tried to talk to me and I couldn’t read it or you just wondered what this stranger was talking about?
I could send you a request that you can accept. My name is Andrej and my islands name is a Kansai.

Hm...
I have obtained All Space and Wand DIY recipes from Celeste by Time Travel.
But, it seems i have to break the locked date to find other Zodiac DIY recipes on every months.
I assumed she can be founded between date 6 to 10 each months.

@Cosmofantasmo,

Sorry for that, I saw someone was coming and did not recognize the name, I then thought my Dodo code was for "More the merrier" and was worried because I remember Gretchen saying be careful because some people can just come to your Island and mess with stuff, and there are also people that will watch these forums and send out friend requests to do the same thing, add the fact my mobile was flat and sending messages in game with the control pad is just a pain in the neck, so once again sorry about that.

I am still unsure why the game would not let me send you a best friend request, because I was pretty sure it was you, as at the time you were my only friend online playing the game, I did try to message you using the "Send message to everyone online" option but that did not seem to work either.

It was nice to meet you. The home theater looks amazing. Did you play AC there when when you were on my island? Then it looked probably ten times as good 😜

@Cosmofantasmo I spent some time over the weekend on and off playing with some of this. I do talk to my villagers, but mostly they just give me the same overall dialogs with some word swaps. Most telling is when you talk to the character multiple times in a row they keep telling you the same thing suggesting they're annoyed you keep talking to them. Some times I get the obvious "we didn't care much about dialog trees" response where within 4 conversation attempts you get the same exact text with a word swap "When my new hobby was fixing things" (3 more dialog attmepts) "when my new hobby was eating free pizza".... That's really cheap and reveals the man behind the curtain. That said, I did notice that if I persistently badger my villagers to the point of being a human stalker in a world of animals, sometimes they do give more interseting dialogs. Which I was glad to see, but also....confused? By how it's implemented. The only way to get any flavor text is by badering the villagers, apparently? I haven'I havent gifted them too much. I started with a few, but I'll try that and see how it goes over a period of days, but I can't imagine it opens it up too much. It would be nice. It seems like you have to talk to them at specific times, like when they're doing a specific thing. If they're in the plaza and you talk to them 10 times you get the same things. Then you talk to them 3 more times while they're fishing and suddenly they tell you about a dream they had. It's weird. I'm not thrilled with what they've implemented, still, but I'm at least glad some personality remains burried in the game.

I also didn't know about the thought bubbles that don't mean they want to leave, so I'll look out for that. I never made it to anyone's islands, or to the coconut islands, so I'll give that a try this week.

I did a little more designin of the island. There's a lot of places where it just doesn't let me do what I want to do, and I don't really have objects or ideas to do much more, so I'm probably at a plateau more or less again, but it did provide a few days of fun that I got to spend with the game rather than wanting to switch...so I'm at least grateful for some amount of real happy time with the game, even if I can't imagine having too much to do in the coming weeks unlike some of the stuff I played with so far (paving and fencing the two shops as a mini market street, building a 3 tier waterfall, and really decorating the plaza and my house yard.... But that's kind of done for now.

But remember, Smug villagers on ACNL like to say about number of cucumbers everytime you talk with them. 😉
I don't mind with repetitive dialogues as their dialogues will get advanced as they noticed something or interacted with other villagers.
The thing i like to did recently was recording their singing performance when i found them singing in front of Resident Service.

To keep you busy, play ACNH with Time Travel. Don't mind with other people's opinion about Time Travel.
By time travel, you will get motivated to find rare character such as Celeste / Redd / Gulliver to complete the set of their things.
I still keep doing Time Travel to hunt Celeste DIY recipes and it keep motivated me to continue ACNH. And it motivated me to play ACNH more than 3 hours in a day.
I played ACNH for completely different purpose, to build my utopia with specific villagers and getting all DIY recipes from rare characters.

@Anti-Matter haha, yeah i remember the cucumbers! I did like the animals singing in the plaza, that was a cute touch, especially when it's more than one!

Oh, for celestes recipes, how DO you get star pieces? I do see shooting stars periodically, but it seems like the camera has to be in a certain place?

The villagers, i never have particular ones i like, i see who arrives and usually like them.. I have Tad, who's funny, and Renee....Rex, Ellie, Cole, and Apple are cute and funny. I didn't like Gruff at first but he's grown on me. Pecan is nice, though a bit boring. Chadder is funny. Biff is the only one I'm not sure about. He duplicates Tads gym bro personally but it's kind of a simpleton brute maybe eventually I'll kick him, but I never really do that.

To get star fragment, you have to find a day with shooting stars fallin' in the sky from 7 pm and clear sky (i found mostly happened between date 6 until 8 on every months). You can hear a blink sound as the sign of shooting stars happened. Go outside, find the area where you can see clearly the sky (not blocked by buildings), unequip your tools and press A button when you see a shooting star (your character will pray for a shooting star).
You can only get star fragments by maximum 20 pieces so stop wishing the shooting stars once you have wished 20 times.
To find the star fragments, proceed to the next day and circle around the beach area. And you have to remember how many wishes did you make. Sometimes you find Large Star fragment and Zodiac star fragments. Those are very important ingredients to craft Zodiac DIY recipes.
Good news, you can farm star fragments indefinitely by return on the day you found shooting stars, proceed to next day to pick up the star fragments and return on the previous day to repeat the process.

The trick with shooting stars is to NOT have any tool equipped. When you hear the chime turn, look up and hit A, which has you make a wish.. They come in multiples so keep looking. The next morning check your beaches and there will be star pieces. I've only had 1 meteor shower.

Btw: kudos on your handling of this thread. You've handled it with a patience that I'm not sure I could have managed. I agree with most of what you said about the game. I love it, but it's by no means perfect. I didn't weigh in because I didn't want to escalate the rhetoric.

@NEStalgia Another thing to keep in mind is that Isabelle may announce the shooting stars when starting. Those are gonna be the meteor showers, which means that there will be a ton of shooting stars. It's completely left to RNG though, and that announcement will vary from island to island. Just thought I'd add to the last couple posts.
