@Ulysses The only way to get artifacts is through Redd the fox. He’ll show up once, selling a random artwork. Buy the artwork, and then he’ll start randomly showing up in his boat on the other side of the island (so you’ll need a latter to reach him). If your game is up to date, you should meet Harv (a hippy dog), who will invite you to his island. After some time, he’ll ask for you to help fund a bunch of little RV shops, one of which being owned by Redd. If you complete the payment for his, he’ll show up the next day. He’ll have two artworks for sale, and he’ll only change the stock the next Monday or after you purchase one of the artworks. He’ll probably be selling fakes most of the time, though. Hope this helps. And yeah, I knew about the amiibo thing, I’m just not willing to go out of my way to buy amiibo just to get rid of unwanted villagers.
@Ulysses
Do TIME TRAVEL . 😎
I got all the art stuffs from Redd by doing Time Travel.
You just only need find the day when Redd appeared on your island.
Once you find the day he appeared on your island, to respawn him again just simply Save your game, Quit and do Time Travel on next day (change the date from your Switch system when you are NOT currently playing the game).
After you change the date on next date, save, Quit and change the date to day before.
He will respawn again with different stuffs.
Repeat and rinse until you get all the art stuffs.
For creatures for Critterpedia, you need to time travel on specific month and time to find the bugs / fish / sea creatures.
Use the guide from Nookipedia to check which creature you don't have yet and try to time travel on specific month and time.
I did Time Travel so many times and I have finished my Art stuffs, Sea creatures and Fish (Still working on completing the Bugs).
@Ulysses Yeah, I understand how peace of mind is more valuable than money, but it doesn’t bother me enough to warrant buying an amiibo. Also, you can get rid of fake art but throwing it away in a trash can. And I have never had a villager give me art. I also just use a guide in order to root out the fakes.
@Ulysses
Oh, also.
I have learnt something from every villagers type.
You need to get ALL of every kind of villagers (Jock, Smug, Cranky, Lazy, Normal, Peppy, Snooty, Sisterly) when you start the game for the first time.
The reason you need every kind of villagers is because they will teach different Reactions that tied by their personality.
Each villagers will teach you 5 different Reactions with the 5th Reaction if you already become Best Friend with them.
Also, you need to keep them in your island as they have different DIY recipe when you find them doing crafting inside their house and again... tied by their personality.
You need to check every DIY recipe you got from specific villagers.
The reason I give advice like this because the villagers have different unlockable things that you need to get from them before you're thinking to kick them out from your island.
I know you have dislike with certain villagers and want to kick them out, but before you kick them, try to Best Friend with them until no more unlockable stuffs from them, then you can kick them out and replace with your favorite villagers (Well, very Backstabbing relationship eh? 😅)
I made a mistake by kick the unwanted villagers too early and I haven't learnt their Final reactions and some DIY recipe I don't have from them.
Next time I played ACNH again on my 2nd island, I will try to Best Friend with All of them to get all the Reactions and DIY recipe no matter how ugly their looking, it just only temporary friendship, then I will kick them out once I don't need them anymore.
I am looking to complete my fruit collection on my island for ACNH does anyone have any spare apples or pears they want to trade or sell. I have all the other fruit?
@Dev-N
I personally will use opportunity to play ACNH on another Switch 1 / 2 machine and two ACNH cartridges to have multiple different island for different villagers choice on my island since the Save data only per one user.
And I can visit the other island each other by local play of two Switch machines.
So I want to ask about having another island on second Switch machine.
My plan is getting another Switch machine to create second island with different villagers.
But since I want two of my ACNH Save data completely different, so I plan to link my account from OG Switch V1 to second Switch machine just for redownload the eshop games I have purchased from my OG Switch V1 so the eshop games can be played on the second Switch machine with my first account.
And to play ACNH on second Switch machine, I plan to make another user with completely different email.
If I play ACNH with second account on second Switch machine and I link with my ACNH from OG Switch V1 with first account for Local Online play, will I able to meet each other and share the items?
Does anyone know what happens if you attempt to transfer an island to another Switch where you aren't the resident representative, but the resident representative's profile isn't on the Switch in question?
@PikaPhantom, I tried doing a quick search online to see if something like that is possible, but it seems like an island/profile is stuck with the same resident representative forever unless you restart. Are you experiencing a scenario that is like your question? If so, your island representative can't be changed without a restart, but you should be able to transfer over the island just fine, I think. You just wouldn't be able to do anything that only the resident representative can do. It's kind of a complicated system, so I can't give a better answer than this. I hope this information helps.

@ShieldHero Everything I've found online either hasn't been helpful or has been describing different circumstances. I haven't been able to find a clear-cut answer on if the island transfer could go through, but the island would be stuck without a representative. I just don't have any interest in starting over.
@PikaPhantom, if online isn't helping, then it's probably best to go by what Nintendo itself says: as long as the first console still exists, you can transfer any island's data to a different Switch / Switch 2, either through system transfer or the Island Transfer Tool app on the eShop. The resident representative can't be changed without a restart, so if you transferred an island to another Switch / Switch 2 without the resident representative, then you wouldn't be able to do anything the resident representative can without a restart. Only the resident representative can progress through the main storyline, for example.
In all honesty, I believe that the resident representative system, and just the one island per system limit in general, is a big pain in the a** and is just plain stupid. Fun fact: I purchased my own Switch seperate from my family's shared one just so I could play Animal Crossing, since I didn't want to share my island with my siblings. To this day, I'm still the only family member who has played the game, even though a few of my siblings have expressed interest in said game. I really hope that the next Animal Crossing finally ditches the limit. Since I will probably have my own family at some point in the future, I promised myself that I would never buy another Animal Crossing unless they got rid of the stupid one island/town/city per system limit. I apologize for the wall of text and that I can't say anything more than what Nintendo has said, but I do hope that your situation gets resolved, and in the most simple way possible.
