Topic: Adult Switch Gamers

Thanks to everyone yesterday, was good fun.

Good couple of races last night, enjoyed it. Sorry I couldn't stay on long, wasn't feeling my best so went to bed early.

Unfortunately I didn't feel good yesterday so I didn't take part to the race. Looking forward to hopefully join you guys next week

Idea regarding Game Nights:

Mondays and Thursdays seem to be the evenings (UK Time) that work for a good number of us on here. We've managed an impressive run of regular MARIO KART 8 DELUXE and ROCKET LEAGUE Game Nights now over the last few months.

I wondered if people would be interested in maybe introducing two more titles to the mix and maybe using a rotation system?

E.g. Mondays could be MK8 DELUXE one week and then the following week we could play perhaps ARMS or STREET FIGHTER ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION (From May 29th). Thursdays we could do ROCKET LEAGUE one week and then say SPLATOON 2 the week after?

Just a thought and obviously we can pick other games. Let me know if you have any interest in taking part in such a system.

@Lroy I'm in as always for MK8D. I also would be in for Splatoon 2, SF Collection, Puyo Puyo Tetris and don't forget Mario Tennis June 22nd.

@mauhlin12 I bet Mario Tennis will be a BLAST to play online, can't wait...

@mauhlin12 @RetroGamerAndrew Yes, of course! MARIO TENNIS ACES lands next month. We could slot STREET FIGHTER into the Monday slot along with MK8 D and then add TENNIS ACES to Thursdays along with ROCKET LEAGUE.

If folks are game, we could always try for a SPLATOON night on either Sat or Sun?

And yes other games like PUYO PUYO TETRIS or SUPER BOMBERMAN R would also be nice to maybe play for a chance one week on a Mon or Thurs Game night?

Love the idea! I would be good to go for all of the above except Puyo that I don't own. I am however planning to own both Street Fighter and Mario Tennis.
How about we ask folks to vote for what alternatives they want to have with the games that are already out and start from there? I'd say it is pretty much a given that both Street F and Mario T will get their fare share once out as the sense of the novelty will be too strong to resist to.

@Lroy Sounds good to me! I'd definitely be up for some regular/semi-regular weekend Splatoon 2 sessions - that way, we could party up for Splatfest's, which are usually Sat-Sun (..haven't played it for a couple months - so it'd be great to have an excuse to dip back in!)

I may not get Mario Tennis Aces on Day 1, but I'll definitely look to add it to my collection at some point (..looked like it'd be a lot of fun when they showed it off in the recent Direct!)

...and, of course, we've got Super Smash Bros. looming on the horizon as well - I'm sure that that'll be a popular addition to our 'rotation' too Sounds like a plan!

While we're on the subject, I'm going to be away next week - so won't be able to attend next Monday's session, or host (Rocket League?) next Thursday (24th) ..I can still set something up for this Thursday if people fancy a Rocket League sesh again this week - but might need someone to cover the following week for me (..I'll be back late on Friday 25th, so should be available for anything from then onwards)

@Chris77 @Agent721 @electrolite77 Oh nice! I thought that there'd be some kind of 'cord extension' accessory for the NES/SNES Classic's (particularly since they use the same connections as the Wii) - I'll have to hunt some down and invest in a couple Thanks for the tip!

@mauhlin12 Nice vids from last night! Had one of those 'red shell' moments myself...

1st to 5th - then back to 2nd (on the final straight!) ...only to get red-shelled down to 5th again! Haha!

@Lroy I'll gather the names of all the members of this community tomorrow and will post out a poll for people to choose from other alternatives for our two respective gaming nights.

I am with @NaviAndMii on participating to Splatfests as a community, even if it means that we will all have to pick the same side if we want to play together!

@NaviAndMii I love the Mii outfits unlocked by Amiibo. Look so cool in the game. Hence, I often play as my Mii even though that isn't my preferred driving set up (prefer Metal Mario in single player Grand Prix and Time Trials).

Only have the DK, Pikmin, Bowser and Splatoon suits myself to date but always nice to see others in the game. That PAC-Man one is Class as is Mega-Man both made an appearance on the track last night.

@Lroy I didn't realise you could get different outfits. Are they only unlocked by Amiibos?

@SuperJoon yeah you can unlock the outfits for your Miineith your amibos. Like @Lroy I do like the outfits quite a bit, was sporting Samus'suit last night.

@Lroy Yeah, I noticed you were wearing a Splatoon racing suit last night - lookin' good! (..and after I got disconnected, I dropped back in to spectate and noticed @Fafounet riding around in the sweet looking Metroid/Samus suit mentioned above - complete with reflective visor! ..fantastic!)

I have Mario, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Zelda, PAC-MAN and Yoshi myself - nice to add a bit of cosmetic flare to your character

I agree, the Mega Man one looks great as well - as does the Sonic one (which I've seen in a few online matches) - tempted to add them to my collection one day! (..quite like having some little Nintendo-themed figurines dotted around my living room too!)

I like that new games are being introduced but I have the problem of being US based so I wouldnt be able to participate when ya'll are having these. However Splatfests are weekend based so I could do those!

Whenever you are having a Mariokart night give me a shout.

Playing Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze at the mo as missed it on Wii U, she keeps on laughin at me because I keep swearing at it whenever I miss a jump or something. Just like Sunday, I played level 2-K for 2 hours until i finished that damn level, so glad we don't have kids to hear my language

@TskTori Yeah, ideally we'd have US time zone friendly game night's as well. Just needs some people in that time zone to organise it.
